After reading reviews, I was skeptical on this location but the guy was nice and had no issues getting vehicle. However everything was sticky in the vehicle. I drove 20 min to my load location and I felt dirty just driving the vehicle. I spent 45 min wiping everything down with soap and water, vacuuming it out and cleaning the crud off the windows. Looked great after that and had no issues. Would be nice if it had cruise control. One big issue I had which had nothing to do with this location is that uhaul canceled my truck and trailer one day before with a text saying they could not honor my reservation which had me in a panic. I flew in to move my son back from college. He had to be out of his apartment on that day and I had to be back to work. I called and they somewhat made it work for me.

My main issue is not with this location, but more so the fact I reserved a 15' truck online picking up in Baton Rouge and returning in Chalmette. When I arrived I was told the truck had to come back to Baton Rouge, and could not be terminated in Chalmette. It was a rotation truck for that location, which I understand, but why make it available online to terminate at another location if that is truly not an option? T he attendant did call several locations for trucks they could swap for their rotation truck, but no one could help. Her manager found a one-way truck 30 miles away and gave us a discount and additional mileage which was much appreciated. Again my issue is the booking system online and not the location having a rotation truck. The location in Baker is in a sketchy area, and the truck was dirty, but it did the job so I'm grateful U-Haul made it work for me and my family.
John ZHe was rude for one. His hours did not work with what I had to do because he don’t start until 12 and it’s not listed and you got to have truck back by 7:30 when they closed. So basically I had to get a Uhaul the next day as well but from a different location.The truck rides horrible. Radio was broken and all knobs were missing. I couldn’t even charge my phone. But truck was clean though that’s the only good thing about it besides the air working.

Edward YCustomer service failed to inform me that my reservation wasn't available at the time or location selected. I called to confirm about 30 minutes ahead of time, and she did not mention that I had to travel to pick up another truck.
