When i pulled up to the gas station pump, a man came out and berated me. Demanded to know if I checked the height of the uhaul before going under the awning. I explained that there was still easily 4-6 inches of clearance before top and nothing touched. He demanded it was too close and told me to back up and out and go around to park. Ive worked in trades for a decade and drove that vehicle half way across the country. I know it fit absolutely fine but I said okay fine I will. When I was removing my personal belongings/garbage from the front cab before getting gas he kept telling me to start the vehicle so he could take pictures of the milage and gas. I told him to wait until I was done removing my things and putting in gas THEN he could take the photos after I actually finished returning it. He continued to hover around creepily. The entire time this is happening there are 0 customers in the store and 0 people behind me. He says this a couple times and eventually I raise my voice and tell him I will let him know when I am finished and I would tell him when it was time to take the photos. After putting gas in and parking, I enter the gas station. He ignores me for 2 minutes after I say id like to pay for the gas after he takes his photos. A customer walked in and he helped them before me. Then when I said id like to pay for gas now he said he was waiting for his son to call. I asked him why I had to wait for that call just to pay for the gas. He said he was dealing with the check out of uhaul? I was told I could return the uhaul any time on the monday that I was supposed to return it on and that if the station was closed I could put the keys in a lock box at the drop location. So I was surprised that I had to speak to some random man on the speaker phone of the gas attendant. He said he wouldnt charge me for returning it at 7 pm instead of 430 pm. I told him I would think not after the uhaul gave me the drop off info. He then said that they were keeping more than half of my deposit for some hidden fees. I paid for it 100% in cash for everything before I left. I said im returning it clean, with gas, within the milage allowed, within the days allowed so thats fucked up. He told me not to swear, after he was attempting to steal from me. I phoned customer service immediately and they agreed I didnt owe any money and sent me a cheque because I refused to go back to the gas station to collect the deposit. I will never enter this gas station ever again. I will never chose this as a drop off again, and if I was able to I would warn every uhaul customer not too either. The employee was awful, creepy, and condescending.

Beware.. Take a photo of fuel gauge at time of rental as it read 3/8 and they had me bring it up to 7/16 of a tank upon return. The rental lot is not level ground & the gauge reads different depending on where in lot it is read.
