uhaul trailer was not hooked up properly (handwheel coupler not tightened down), so the first bump i hit on I-65, the trailer came off the ball and shortly thereafter, the safety chains broke free. additionally, the trailer was not road safe, as there was no brake fluid in brake reservoir nor did emergency brake on trailer activate.
