The business owner did not even open the shutters of his shop, until I had called U-Haul head office to complain, even though his store was scheduled to open at 9 AM. My reservation was for 9:30 and we couldn’t get ahold of him until 10 AM. Even on connecting there was no accountability or explanation. When I expressed to him that it was irresponsible he just sloughed it off. We had people waiting at location to help us with our move. The Truck had no gas and I had to first fill it up, before using it. There were multiple messages about tires needing service and warning messages on the dashboard and the oil gauge was riding high. Fortunately I only had to take it not very far away and back. On my return he was also not of service and said he would just electronically send me the receipt without discussing the cost. I told him that I would like to review it. He asked me if this was my first time renting a U-Haul ( it wasn’t )and that you don’t get a physical copy. I wanted to check for indiscrepancies in the moment. I did not appreciate his lack of service and poor attitude. I definitely will not use that location again, for anything!

Get my van late because he gave it to a wrong person without checking his ID
Aymen SUnit was dusty, the tire pressure light was on, and they charged me for fuel, even though it was filled as per the contract. I should not have left without doing a walk around with them.
Bruno UI had set up an 8:00 a.m. self-pickup at a location that was not open until 9:30. When I arrived at 8:00 a.m., nobody was there. After calling the 1-800 number, I was informed that it was not set up as a self-pickup. I returned at 9:30 to find the location not open, and nobody showed up until a little after 10:00 that morning. On moving days, we are all on tight schedules, especially since we have people coming to help us out. There's an expectation that booked times or times indicated as available would be honoured.
Les GI am very dissatisfied with my recent U-Haul rental experience (Order No. 27953815, dated May 12, 2026). I was charged significantly more than expected, and the final amount did not match the estimate provided at the time of booking. There was no clear explanation for these additional charges, which is frustrating. I request a detailed breakdown of the charges and a prompt resolution of this issue. Transparency in pricing is very important, and this experience did not meet my expectations. I hope this matter will be reviewed and resolved as soon as possible.
