Difficult to park in the lot . 10’ truck was described to have a ramp but did not have one. App was great to use except for the photos portion which was confusing and required me to contact customer service. Air conditioning is strong. Rear camera could be better.

MARIA AThis was the third location I went to and fourth location I called. Initially, I called the location on Oxnard in De Soto and they told me there was no Vance. I asked them to make a reservation at another location and I was told I needed to go online and look myself. I called another location in Woodland Hills, which kindly made a reservation for me at a furniture store for a van off of Sherman Way in Topanga. When I arrived, the gentleman told me to wait until he was finished eating lunch. I waited and then he uploaded all my information and told me I did not qualify for a van because I only had a debit card but I could have a truck. There are two 10 foot trucks parked outside of his establishment, but he told me that there was not available. He said that he would look up another reservation for me and he even said out loud that’s odd. It says there are two trucks here but there’s not. Meanwhile, he was able to make another reservation for me at the gas station on victory in Topanga. Upon arrival manager was very helpful and kind however, after I returned the truck only an hour later I saw an additional charge to my card. I was charged $45 in addition to $25 for exceeding the mileage. I initially quoted from 6 miles to 15 miles. This was both in accurate and disappointing considering the item I was picking up was free and I already had to come out of pocket $45 instead of the stated 19.99 on the truck. No one did a walk-through with me on the truck to quote the initial mileage from the time I left or the mileage when I returned, but I was hit with an additional charge bringing me to $65 for an item I picked up, which was free. I felt robbed and disappointed in the service considering how many times I’ve used U-Haul. I immediately called U-Haul customer service and spoke to Sheena who is very kind and professional. She stated a gentleman by the name of Anthony would call me having a conversation in hopes of being able to reverse the charge with everything I went through. I have not heard from him, but that call only happened tonight so I look forward to hearing from him and making it right because U-Haul is a household name, but I did feel like every private property. I pulled up to had different rules, regulations and prices.
CELINE MMake sure the dude behind the counter after hours care and actually converse rather than just yes yes yes. And all of his info was incorrect.
Carl VI’ve been there 2 times for a rental. The people who work there are not friendly. They are not rude. Dismissive. Not welcomed. A place of business should, yes I know, “should”, have people who are welcoming. If my personal life is crap I make sure that I do not show it at my workplace. Like I said. Not rude. No smiles. No hello. I feel like a second class when I go there.
