I do not blame the location. The truck reserved for me was not there. The gentleman working was very nice, but didn't seem to have any availability to do anything about it. Took a long time to get through the app, call U-Haul and have another truck assigned. Took me at least another 30 minutes. Then upon return, the new truck assigned was not in my app, so I had to call yet again.

This is not the fault of the pickup location or the owner of the gas station. But, we had to wait almost 3 hours hours to pick up our truck as Uhaul failed to schedule a truck even though I had a confirmed reservation. There was a 15' truck at the location but it was not checked in. They could not find another truck within 20 miles of the Chicago metro area! My wife and I were on hold on separate phone calls with Uhaul scheduling to try and get a truck. We were on hold most of the three hours getting transferred from regional scheduling to local scheduling, and back and forth several times. Eventually, the owner of the gas station got ahold of the local uhaul contact person and managed to check in the truck. The gas station owner and staff did all they could to help, but there are just a drop off and pickup location and this problem was beyond their control. This was a Uhaul scheduling problem. The Uhaul app is very poor as well. No concessions were made on price and a discount was given despite all of the time and energy wasted in this process.
