How U-Haul Reviews WorkKey wasn’t available. Since key wasn’t available I wasn’t able to get my rental on time.
Quin OReal confusion between corporate and this gas station. No key number in the app meant it took an uncomfortable 30 minutes together the truck. The truck was dirty with an empty tank. Because something was wrong with the gas line the backflow preventer fired 25 times a gallon.
James TDolly not present. Charged anyway. Apps failed to refund. Super hard to talk to customer service. Will never recommend U-haul.
Nathaniel CMaybe you pass by this location often and you see several rental trucks. You think "surely, these one-star reviews are unique experiences, won't happen to me. I mean, there are trucks in the lot." No — it will happen to you. I had to rent three trucks. The original truck assigned to me wasn't in the lot. The second truck was in the lot, but the gas station clerk didn't have the key(?), and then finally the third truck was in the lot and the clerk had the key. Luckily I got a hold of U-Haul customer service and had them on the phone with me as I was working with the clerk. The app for UHaul wasn't updating in time to keep up with the changes so this nice employee was emailing me screenshots of the backend. The clerk was hesitant to accept the screenshots and called someone to ask about it — luckily that went well. But the UHaul app still didn't update in time for me to upload photos of the truck pre/post use. So, I had to deal with a different customer service person to show that I took care of the equipment. I don't blame UHaul customer service because they seemed equally as baffled as me that I had three different trucks associated with my account. The system isn't meant to deal with multiple truck rentals. I blame the location. I should've been able to take the truck assigned to me and go — not have three different trucks rented to me.
