The manager was extremely unprofessional at this location? I have rented numerous uhauls in over the last 5 years in various parts of the country and this was by FAR the worst experience to date. Gentleman first of all stated that if returning there was a 15 minute grace period and truck was returned right on the nose by different person than myself by or before that time. He did not check it in because I was on my way and wanted to use different card than one used to reserve it? That was why it was time stamped 17 minutes past the check in time of 11:11 am - and manager was being so argumentative he went ahead and still ran my existing card on file. He claimed it had been rented 4 days when it WAS THREE DAYS . Then he denied even saying ANYTHING ABOUT A GRACE PERIOD AND SAID “ don’t put words in my mouth” either about that or that he told me the insurance coverage was $15/day which I do sometimes take - but upon arrival - cost doubled to $30/ day which that figure was NEVER MENTIONED. And instead of being billed at 3 days was billed at 4 days? For a total of $120 for insurance alone? Insurance should have been $45 - NOT $120! He was also angry because the truck did not leave the property until very early morning of Friday 9/11/26 to move items to new storage facility because it took 3 solid days in the heat and humidity of INE PERSON - friend I rented U-Haul for - to load the truck from a jam packed 10x15 storage unit with ALL HIS WORLDLY POSSESSIONS HE OWNED. I was GLAD THE TRUCK HAD NOT BEEN DRIVEN UNTIL COMPLETELY LOADED AND READY TO MOVE TO NEW STORAGE UNIT/FACILITY. I know my friend was coming and going from storage facility during this period - because at one point I dropped him off a couple miles down the road at his girlfriend’s office space. He had several bikes to transport himself around on? This manager NOT ONLY DOUBLE BILLED INSURANCE - HE OVER BILLED NUMBER OF DAYS. I have never in my life rented a U-Haul for 3 days FOR LOCAL USE - drove total of 5 miles for a total of $268? Then the manager got argumentative when I tried to question the bill THEN HE GOT INSULTING AND STARTED MOCKING ME AS A CUSTOMER AND GOT OVER THE TOP RUDE? Least satisfactory rental experience with U-HAUL EVER . It was obvious he blatantly over charged- misrepresented a number of things he said - AND PADDED THE BILL TO BOOT? There were the MOST UHAULS I HAD EVER SEEN ON THIS SITES LOT - which still was not many? When I came to settle the bill - maybe 6 or 7? This place is obviously not a high demand rental spot - and had I known what I was going to ultimately encounter - I would have driven down the street to U-Haul location I normally rent from - and have numerous times - WITHOUT INCIDENT - that are far more friendly , professional and helpful? Let alone being WAY OVERCHARGED AND BEING TREATED RUDELY. The guy also apparently way overcharged my friends final bill ( double billed?) as well as massive fees on his storage unit - which I also paid on my credit card 5 minutes prior to renting U-Haul from same storage facility? This guy and location was a total piece of work is as kindly as I can put it? Do not know if it is a family owned operation - would not surprise me. The storage facility was VERY RUN DOWN - and lot was FULL OF POTHOLES - Just abhorrent. Thank you for taking the time to read this review? I’d put my phone number - but I fear retaliation from employee/ manager at this location - that’s how out of control this guy was.
