I’ve used U-Haul for years and have generally had positive experiences, but this most recent rental was by far the worst. I reserved a 26-foot truck the day before my move. Upon inspecting the vehicle, I noticed the ramp wouldn’t slide in fully, which prevented the back door from latching — a clear and serious safety hazard. When I raised the issue with the salesclerk, I was shocked to learn he already knew about the problem but dismissed it as unimportant. That kind of negligence is completely unacceptable, especially when customer safety is at stake. Unfortunately, the only alternative was a smaller truck, which meant my moving crew had to make multiple trips, costing us extra time and effort. There is simply no excuse for knowingly renting out faulty equipment. This experience has left me extremely disappointed.

The biggest challenge was to navigate the automated check-in process via the UHaul app. Tanya in Customer Service cleared up my confusion quickly. The other issue is more a "nit". Working the combination lock was a bit difficult began of the where the lock "locks" on the rear door handle combined with the lock's mechanical difficulty. CONCLUSION: I will rent a truck here again.
Donald HThis truck needs to be URGENTLY REMOVED FROM SERVICE and the steering fully rebuilt. The wheels were all over the road, especially in a turn.

Danielle WOriginal truck assigned would not turn on. Thankfully by the time we finished the long process to do the online pick up the facility was open. The person inside was able to swap our truck for a different one. The new vehicle worked but sounded like it was going to break down. The transmission was struggling.
