I was told by a lady on Sat from Uhaul via phone before rental date to go to a body shop and they didn’t have my equipment. Moving is stressful enough without trying to track down a truck in a busy city. Duncan was very pleasant!

Agent entered wrong e-mail address in system, making it very difficult to use on-line check-in. Agents on the phone were very helpful, however.

Very helpful and friendly, Danielle at rental desk. Paid in cash, so had to leave a $100 cash deposit- which I was told would be paid upon return of rental truck. When we returned the truck, we were told that U-Haul's policy was that we had to return the truck to an actual U-haul "dedicated" store in order to receive our deposit in cash (another 13 miles away) or we would get a check in the mail approximately a week later. We had time constraints - so we left the truck at the designated drop-off. We should have been told about this "policy" up front. As far as the 26' truck- you could hear the power steering pump and the brakes squealed terribly. We reported this when we dropped it off. I can't help but juxtapose my first experience with a U-Haul rental in California years ago, when the attendant came out to the truck and showed me "the ropes" and checked all around the vehicle and under the hood, before making sure that I could back it up correctly. I think it would be helpful if that became a U-Haul "policy". Currently awaiting my check in the mail.

The only complaint would be the cost. I had the truck for 3 1/2 hours and it cost 75.00. There should be a cheaper rate for that length of time.

Dropped off after hrs. Called I haul to let them know. After a wait, a very friendly and helpful person let us know that she put it in system that it was dropped off. Glad we didn’t have to wait till place was open.

Add an air freshener to the van. I'm not sure what animal was hauled in the van but it's odor was still in there sending my allergies into attack mode. When I turned it in the lady went and sprayed Lysol in it. They are very friendly and helpful at pick up place. Would highly recommend Duncan's Moving & Storage

I had previously used this vendor without incident, however, this time my experience was quite disappointing. . I arrived to pick up my scheduled reserved truck to be told they didn't have one as the previous customer had not returned it. They were unconcerned and unsympathetic that the timing of my move revolved around my father who is dying of cancer with a short time to live. The owner Fred, came in and he was at least kind. He managed to get me a truck fairly quickly. I drove 10 hours, at times through ice and snow. Upon arriving at my destination where movers were waiting for me we discovered that 5 of the blankets I rented were damp and had mold/mildew on them. By the time we packed the truck, I did not have enough dry blankets to finish protecting my furniiture and a few pieces were damaged from rub marks as a result. I did not want to put the contaminated blankets in with my good furniture. It was about 35 degrees out, 10 pm at night. I was exhausted, in the dark and did not think there was anyone I could call and get a quick resolution for the situation so the 5 blankets were left behind in the trash can. I called Duncan's Moving where I rented the truck the next dY fter I dropped truck off and advised them of the situation. I spoke with a woman named Danielle who was quite rude and spoke in a very condescending manner, berating me for not contacting them nor bringing the wet blankets nack. She was completely unprofessional about the xircumstances. I offered to to pay for the blankets if need be but indicated there should be some consideration for the circumstances. She insisted "They have never ever given anyone wet blankets before and she just could not believe this happened". I would not be able to recommend this company any longer due to the uncaring, rude and unprofessional manner I was treated in. I suggest customer service re-training for Danielle at minimum. Also pay more attention that blankets are not wet.

Fan didn’t work on truck. This will be dangerous if windshield is frosty

Richard L. on

Drop off was fine, but when i picked up the original 26 foot truck it was unsafe and a dangerous vehicle on any road. The replacement 20 foot truck was much better.
