My experience with the owner was an overall good experience. I must say that the interaction started off a bit shaky, but I understand and respect the owner's position. My emergency occurred on a Friday evening, a few minutes shy of closing hours. So, everyone was ready to get their weekend started. I was not aware of their operation hours prior to making the call, but this particular U-Haul location was the closest place available, as my call was approximately 4:55 pm with closing hours at 5 pm. The owner was initially disturbed (understandable) but agreed to remain open as I was 2 -3 minutes from his location. The atmosphere lighted up as we began to communicate and setup the rental. I ensured that I honored my part and had all the necessary documentation and identification needed to make the transaction as seamless as possible. I appreciate the owner's honesty and loyalty to customer service, as he was not obligated to remain open considering the short notice. I would say to future customers to ensure that you speak clearly and project your voice as he does have hearing loss in one ear. This is minor in comparison to his loyalty to customer service.
