Poor experience! Little help from location after I found it was closed and had to do self checkin. Worst oart was calling corporate help number and finding out had at least a 20 minute wait. The the icing On the cake live chat!! Sent at least four messages over 30 minutes and to this date no reply. This was dead chat not live chat. I made too mistakes one not understanding I had yo do self check as I assumed location would be open! Second, using uhaul. Charges ended up being outrageous. Given a choice my next rental will not be with uhaul albeit they are the only company I have used over the years. Never again!!!

I filled the truck up and topped it off before I drop it off and they still charge me for gas I called and they said they couldn't do anything about it I'm very disappointed.
The self check out was very cumbersome. Everything has to be done on the app, including taking pictures. You cannot upload pictures taken while sitting in the trucking at the lot off of your phone. This is not explained very well. I was on hold for 45 minutes trying to return the truck and found out that they cannot upload my picture. Thankfully, the lot that we rented from did not charge us any extra for completing the return.
Absolutely worse moving experience of my life. Truck did not have any of the equipment that I reserved. Customer service did not offer any solution. I was hung up on and transferred multiple times. Nothing was resolved and I was charged for the equipment that was never provided. This was not only poor service but it was theft. It was illegal and I will be following up accordingly
Facility manager, Ginger, came in early to deliver the truck. She is excellent. The U-Haul system takes forever and is frustrating.
Well maintained - it was not restocked. There were no pads in the truck. there was a loose appliance dolly we did not rent in it. We ordered, and were charged for, furniture pad rental. However, there were no pads in the truck and after repeated attempts, no credit has been given. Also, it took a full month for us to get a receipt.
The lockdown situation has complicated every-day operations, so this is not a reflection on the facility, just a comment that rental/return process was cumbersome.
She was very helpful with directions and reading my reservation as there wasn't one showing and there were several roads shut down in Argyle causing us to be 30 minutes late for pick up.

The floor of the van was muddy. Not a huge deal since it's a cargo van, but it should get a basic sweeping between customers.
Branch Manager Ginger is exceptional and makes us feel welcome as storage users and when we need to rent equipment. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
My entire moving trip was a fiasco because of you and those who represent you. The tow dolly is terrible for turns since the angle is restricted. The piece of equipment I got has an electrical short--according to the location that gave it to me (Lincolnshire) and a Baldwin MO location that took a look at my car. FYI, that is two UHaul locations that admitted the tow dolly messed up my car electrical components. Because of the equipment's electrical short, my car fuses blowed up and I did not have running lights; therefore, I could not drive during the night. My trip was delayed 36 hours since it was dangerous for me to drive overnight. I had to spend more than $60 extra on reflective tape and fuses and an additional $120 extra on lodging. Furthermore, my car currently does not have front park lights. Everything on my car worked fine before the wiring installation at UHaul by a "certified" technician. I hope someone contacts me with a solution plan to fix the issue on my car. That is only the electrical part. During my trip, one of the tow dolly's straps snapped. This happened while I was driving on a busy highway. It was a hazard for my family and other drivers. The solution was simple: None of the UHaul locations cared for bringing the part to me. I had to drive about 1 hour total to get the part replaced. I have to admit that one of them did assisted me on escorting me to a safe location, but I was on my own after that. I thought that when I returned the equipment the bad experience was going to be done. I was wrong. The day I returned the equipment. I drove to the drop off location. The locations clerk indicated on a phone call that I could just leave the equipment in a specific area that was unattended and no fencing was around it. It made sense since I saw more Uhaul trailer there. The day after dropping off the tow dolly, I recieved a text message warning me about my due date It was going to expire and I was going to get charged more if I did not return the item. It was hilarious that the staff at the dropped of location had not checked in my equipment yet. I had to call them and push them to check on the equipment. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience all across the board. You set my trip to failure and endangered the well being of my family. I hope someone contacts me to follow up on this fiasco.
The only problem was with the app. It was very slow although I had full cell coverage. There were also â€œtechnical difficultiesâ€ the morning I checked in. So my 8:00 AM pick up ended at 9:00 AM. I might have well waited for the office to open. Thankfully the equipment was great and the return went well.

The gas gauge is broken. I put in about 15 gallons and the gas needle never reached 11/16 tank I was supposed to return the truck at. I took a picture of the gauge and the receipt. I only went about 18 miles in the truck.

I had an online reservation to pick up a cargo van at this location at 11:00 am. I signed up for an Express check out so I thought I will pick up the keys and be out of the rental office. When I came in at about 11:15, the front gate is locked so I have to call the rental office and asked if she can open the gate so I can get in the office. The customer representative told me that she is with a customer and I have to wait. After about 35 minutes waiting inside my car at the outside parking lot, I called the office again and she told me she's sorry, she's still with a customer. I waited for another 10 minutes then she finally let me in the office. Inside the office, she is still with the same customer and waited for another 20 minutes until she finally finished. It took her another 15 -20 minutes to finish my rental paperwork. I left the office at 12:50. It took almost 2 hours to get my rental cargo van. The service was very poor, lack of coordination and personnel. The rental office should have an answering machine because she has to answer every phone calls she received while she she was doing my paperwork.
We needed a van last minute and the manager, Ginger, set us up and had us on the road in minutes. Our van was new, clean and did the job we needed it for. Couldn't be happier!

Place opened late. Had to wait outside while they opened. Staff was friendly, but I mean that should be expected. While the truck itself was alright, it wasn't inspected beforehand. There was still items in the back of the truck. Double charged for our rental even though it was returned before the next day and we literally used $5 in gas and put maybe 25 miles on the truck? Ridiculous, thought I was doing the place a favor by not using self service, guess I'll be using self service from now on.
I would rate the u-haul app and reservations systems as extremely poor, thank goodness the facility cared and worked and called to get the reservation to go through.
