I was misquoted a price for a truck I realized after I changed and got a trailer instead. They told me no mileage allowance. I told them I have always gotten so many miles free... like the first 100 or something. They insisted no, they don't do that. I went home and got talking to someone and they said it wasn't true. So we double checked. Sure enough I was right! But I already had the trailer so I let it go. I had to make 2 trips instead of one...driving 2 hours just one way. (90 miles. ) they told me if I kept the truck it was going to cost $400. Just in miles. Not including gas or rental fee. No way I could pay that. Then the 2nd issue is I paid, the guy hooked up the trailer and I pulled away to the road. I heard a big loud thunk! The man didn't put the pin in the hitch reciever and the trailer yanked my whole vehicle back and the ground shook. So I wasn't real happy. Then the guy acted like it was MY FAULT. Plus he said Uhaul requires they take a picture of the connection, which he did. That was fine. I mentioned I'd always be told to do that as the customer. He acted like I was ridiculous. Lastly, I have no idea how this trailer works and after moving and loading heavy things for 20 hours I was finally done at 2am. I unhooked the trailer where I was dropping it off 100 miles away. The trailer kept rolling backwards. I didn't know how to stop it. So I'm a 5' tall 100lb woman. I just used every ounce of strength I had to pull that trailer forward enough and keep checking to see if it stopped rolling. I looked inside the trailer... no blocks or anything to stop it from rolling. I ran and got the outdoor ashtray and tried to wedge that under the tire. It wasn't heavy enough. Never, ever will I deal with this garage/uhaul dealer ever again. I wish Muffler King in Newport had what I needed because they are such nice people and I KNOW this wouldn't have happened there. I've used Uhaul many many times in my 56 years and being a military wife and even know a corporate person. I know this garage I rented from does not represent UHaul's values and customer service. What if I didn't know that? What if this was my 1st experience with Uhaul? Well...Id never use your company at all again and I'd go with Penske or Budget. The trailer also was dirty inside and 2 mini candy bars on the floor.

Arnold SAllow the location the lattitude to give extra time or discount on the rental when I have to drive to a city to get a trailer which is not near the city I wanted to rent it from.
