This was not the location I reserved 2 months ago. I reserved a truck pickup from Troy, IL with 2 utility dolly’s. 25 mins away. There were 2 months of planning to move a truck closer to me. Then, 4pm the day before I picked up the truck. The new location texted me saying there were no utility dolly’s available. I reserved 1 two months ago and updated my reservation to 2 dollys the week before. After 30 mins on the phone, I was able to hunt down a dolly in Edwardsville to rent. That was 15 minutes the opposite direction of Fairview Heights. This was not just a truck rental for me. With this truck I was moving from STL to Chicago and my apartment lease ended that day. I didn’t have time for error. On top of all that, the day of pick up, the U-HAUL website would not let me sign in to pick up the truck outside operating hours, like the woman told me I could on the phone the day before. Once I got in, the truck was completely out of fuel. The passenger truck headlights were also not working properly. It was blinking causing serious distractions for me, the driver, and everyone around me for at least 2 hours of my drive. This was a messy, stressful experience and I might as well have hired an actual moving company. Any of these things could happen, but for all of them to happen to me on this one day, seems like someone should have cared more about a reservation that was planned in advance.

Timothy HThey didn’t have an our reservation, didn’t have the equipment for my reservation either. We past the location that our reservation was at on the way and they had the truck that they said they didn’t have and had to change our location. I bet ya they didn’t want to get up so early on a Saturday. The truck steering wheel was way off center, a reverse bulb didn’t work, the tires were almost bald and it shook above 45.
