I had to move from Etobicoke to Orangeville. It was my first time booking U-Haul through online. I accidentally put my drop off location back at Etobicoke. When I went to pick up my truck at the Etobicoke location in the morning, I told the rep that I am moving to Orangeville and I accidentally chose back to Etobicoke location. I asked if I could drop it off at Orangeville. He told me since the online booking says it’s coming back to Etobicoke, he can’t do anything about it. I had to drive the truck empty and stacked additional kilometres. I had to pay extra 56.50 dollars on top of additional fuel cost. Would make it user friendly and also able to change the drop off location instead customer makes a mistake on the online booking.

Staff not on site at time of scheduled pick up, had to call a number then wait - was 30 min before anyone showed up despite everything being pre booked
Stefano BThis was, without exaggeration, the worst truck I’ve ever been handed. I received a rusted‑out 20’ unit with a squeaking engine, destroyed suspension, and steering so misaligned I had to fight the wheel nonstop just to keep it on the road. The A/C died early in the trip, leaving us to drive through late‑May heat on the way to Orlando with zero cooling. Completely unacceptable. The cargo box even leaked hot water during the rain — how does a rental truck fail at something as basic as keeping cargo dry? The engine was so old and inefficient that it burned fuel at 6–7 miles per gallon, costing a fortune for a long‑distance move. I never would’ve taken this truck if I hadn’t already scheduled other services and relied on the 7:00 AM Mobile Pickup. This vehicle should not be on the road, let alone rented to paying customers. The fact that we made it to Orlando without major losses was pure luck, not thanks to the condition of this truck.
