My pickup time was for 9 am, they weren't ready. Just started the computer when I arrived to set up my rental. Had to stand around for an hour to get checked out. I had people waiting to help me move. Van was messy with items from the last renter. This was not a good first experience and will take my next rental to national and rent a truck.

I was over-charged by the CDW (which I have opted out when I made the booking) and the extra fuel costs (which I have proof that I have filled up in the nearby gas station before returning). When we get the truck, the tank is not filled in full, so I think the store just randomly charge the customer the fuel surcharge. Also, we have waited for 10 minutes in front of the store as the storekeeper was late to work. When we tried to return the key to him in-person, he said that we can just drop the key off in front of the door (which makes no sense as I am still liable to the truck, how would I leave the key?) Now, I have to contact the U-haul office to ask for my refund for the overcharged cost - it is a total waste of my time!
Christopher PCharged for 5 miles over assigned mileage for a trip that would be impossible to make in 89 miles. South London pick up truck at central location assigned by uhual, north London pick up stuff, south Guelph home with stuff, central Guelph truck drop off. Not good business to charge extra $5 for an impossible trip, and already rented truck for $150 plus for day.
JOHN BNothing! It was excellent service. This was my first time ever using U-Haul, and it was so convenient and a staff member even called me earlier in the day to let me know it was available earlier if we wanted it sooner.
