Our check in was horrible! We spent an hour and a half, on the U-Haul application, trying to check in. Installed the app, and everything was going great til we needed to okay location and camera use. By this time we have already received the keys. Camera was okayed but the application kept telling us that our location needed permission. I went to my setting and allowed all permissions. I was still denied. I restarted my phone...denied. Turned on and off permissions...denied. Restarted the phone again...denied. Turned off the phone, waited 3 minutes, turned on the phone, denied. Called the help number and the wait time was 45 minutes. Finally we went to a U-Haul store for some help and saw a lot of people waiting in line. The worker apologized and informed every one that their computers were slow. We went back to Hank's Rental and just took the van. This was out of fear that I would be charged for extra time. All we had to do is pick up a couch, drop off couch and return the truck. Returning the truck WAS effortless though. Returned it with minutes to spare. I will never use a self serve U-Haul rental again. I will use a U-Haul office where there are workers that can help. My first experience was fantastic!! There workers were there to help me through the whole process of checking in the truck. The self serve experience and app was horrible!!!

FATAI EGave me a truck without gas. I returned it on time and it wasn’t processed for 4 days. I had to call UHauls customer service 4* to get the field manager involved while just simply renting a truck. I’m not even sure who oversees the location, but it’s terrible and their contract needs to be rescinded .
