The gentlemen at this location were great, they were so friendly. It was a long day from moving all day and we needed to get a storage unit rented because our house wouldn't be ready for a few weeks and they got me set up very quickly and helped me with everything I needed. We appreciate them for all their help and patience with us.

I was not given my drivers license back after the rep finished. I called about it, the rep was nonchalant stating that it was left on the counter.. They charged me a service fee for gas and to put more gas in a truck that didn't even have gas.I was told I went over my miles by 700 which clearly was an error. I can't dispute because I never received a receipt. The customer service reps are not detailed by any means. They don't care I spent almost $800 on a one-way trip because they employ incompetent crooks who lie on the forms and then don't issue receipts because the computer is slow.....I will never rent a truck or storage from this company again. please don't waste your money on them, go to somewhere more reputable ...u haul is terrible! I called customer service and talked to Christy about my bill and she didn't care one way or the other...

I ordered a 24ft truck from my preferred location and was called a few days after order to tell me that the 24ft truck wasn't available but they did have a 20ft truck. I settled for the 20ft truck but was never told that it wasn't available at my preferred location. I had went to my preferred location to pick up truck and told I was at wrong location. If this is the case I should have been notified via email and phone that the location is changing. This threw me off and my move off because I had to travel to another location farther away which caused me to spend more on rental due to mileage to return truck. If I would have known I would have possibly found another location closer to my finial destination. Then nobody was apologetic about it. Wasn't pleased with experience.

Had a reservation for 7 .. Arrived at 7:04 and was told my truck wasnt there ... Had to wait 30 minutes for the customer who had the truck to return.. Then another 15 minutes before i could actually leave.. So that set me back on my move.. Then the return time wasnt adjusted even though i got the truck late.. Worker did apologize after the fact but after waiting 45 minutes and getting no discount or extra time the apology didnt go too far .. When i returned the truck i was accused of using the dolly in the truck because the seal was broken.. There was never a seal on the truck.. Probably bc they were rushing to get me the truck..

More instruction as to how to use the tow dolly would be helpful. I was very nervous about towing my vehicle and was not given very good instruction about how to secure the vehicle onto the dolly. It did turn out to be easy but more upfront information would have taken some of my concerns away.

My comments are not necessarily about this location. It is about the reason I wound up at the location. I have rented from Uhaul for YEARS...decades, even. I usually use the Gretna location at Oakwood. On the day of this rental, for the second week IN A ROW, Oakwood called me less than an hour before my pickup time to tell me they didn't have my van for me, and had no other vehicles available. Less than an hour ahead of time...ridiculous! I know from my past dealings with Uhaul that they are supposed to notify me at least 24 hours in advance when there may be a problem. Two rentals in a row, two weeks in a row, I got last minute calls and NO ASSISTANCE LOCATING ANOTHER RENTAL. I was forced to do a mad dash search for another van on my own time. I'm sure you know the old saying "time is money"...well, in the last two weeks, Uhaul has cost me money, as well as the stress and anxiety of having to find another van so that I could honor signed contracts! It's bad enough that this happened once, but worse that it happened twice in a row. It's also terrible that I got no assistance from the Oakwood staff, and in fact, I felt that they were pretty indifferent to my plight. In fact, this last time they called, when I asked the caller why this was happening for a second week in a row, her response was simply "that's just the way it is."...really? This is NOT the kind of customer service I'm accustomed to, it is not the way I expect to be treated as a long-time loyal customer. I am extremely dissatisfied with Uhaul right now, and am looking into your competition to see if I will be better served with them. Again, let me be clear that the Lapalco location was great, and helped me out last minute, despite having their computer system crash (that's a complaint for another time). I am satisfied with Lapalco, but VERY DISSATISFIED with Oakwood, and with Uhaul in general. I am very interested in your response to my complaint, and should say that your response will dictate weather or not I switch to your competitors.

No major complaints at all, however I handled everything online in advance and still had to redo the paperwork when I got there. The return was much quicker. The closing guys were awesome. Got me in and out in less than 3 minutes. Great Job.

The service was not good at all. When I arrived I waited a long time for someone to help me and there were 3 workers but only one doing work. When I returned the truck a young man checked me in and told me I would have to go inside to get my money difference. I went inside and waited 10 minutes before I was even helped.

You all should have some type of wording in your procedure stating if a vehicle is ordered and will not be available the day minute or hour before ordered for pickup to call the customer in advance before they come to pick up the truck. I ordered a truck a week in advance when I arrived at 5:40pm scheduled for a 6 o'clock pickup your associate told me the 26 in truck wasn't available because they customer that had it did not return the truck for noon when he last spoke to the customer he said it would be back for 5. I asked him why wasn't I notified that the truck would not be available he repeatedly told me it wasn't implemented in your system to contact the customer nor was it 6 o'clock yet. Not only was this mix up a big inconvenience it was a insult to me. He offer me a smaller truck but that only upset me more after I told him I would take it but it was gonna cause me two trips that was my reason for ordering the bigger truck a wk in advance. I ask how could he accommodate me with the pricing he said no again because he was not responsible for calling me in advance cause its not in your system. He made a remark that he was letting me keep the truck until noon the next day when he needed it back at 9 for another customer whom he was inconvenience . Like I told him my order was made a week ago I was due back until noon the next day anyway with the 26 in.truck. I did not feel that I should be grateful for him doing anything when I was shrewed over causing me a big inconvenience with my move. I think something should be but into your.system to contact a customer if any type of equipment will not be ready when due as stated on their contract with uhaul.
