My experience at this location was not good. When I arrived as a reservation guess there where two workers at the front desk but only one was helping customers. I waited my turn in line behind two customers when it was my turn the lady worker at the desk skipped over me and took another customer that walked in the door after me. After she showed them boxes she came back and helped me. I rented a van and the van was dirty. The van still had Items inside from previous customers. The employee didn’t even inspect the van with me she just gave me the keys and told me where the gas was and what the mileage was. When I return to the Facility with the truck there were four people in line. When it was my turn she skipped over me again but just like before I did not lose my cool. I am choosing pixie next time.

Due to the rainy conditions there were no pre inspection of the inside and out of the truck. When I arrived at my beginning point to pick up the items out of a storage shed I noticed the inside of the trailer had gasoline spills throughout the storage area. The smell was strong. Also the inside of the cab if the truck has grease food mud and dried blood on steering wheel and door. It smelled of cigarette smoke and was was unclean. Even the uhaul dealer I dropped the unit off to she it was in horrible shape. I expect to pay for what we used but 250.00 is way too much to pay for the lack of the Harvey uhaul dealers jobs for not cleaning and inspecting this unit. We are very disappointed and would appreciate an adjustment on what has been charged on this rental.

My reservation was not Reserve when I got there at the location the people there are forces back with you when you tell them that they are wrong I was not accommodated for losing out on my Movers my move was unsuccessful and I was not happy with the service was provided to me this location need to have new people there what customer service skills

Hire better customer oriented people because the lapalco brance crew including the gm has no type of customer service skills what so ever besides knowing how to inconvenience people that's making a life changing decision by moving. But the Slidell Louisiana branch on Gause Boulevard on the other hand are a true example of hospitality. You may want to get them to go work over there atleast one day knowing I received a courtesy phone call from them asking do I know where their U go haul location is for return. Simple things goes a tremendous long way when you don't inconvenience your customers.

I had the worse experience at uhaul the past 2 days. Called and made reservations 24 hours ahead. First person at the location and they tell me they don't have no trucks but didn't tell me that when I called the day before at the Marrero , la branch on westbank expressway. They tell me there's one in Gretna. Drive way to the Gretna, la location on westbank expressway They say they don't have no trucks find me one at the Harvey location. Drive to Harvey where this guy was real friendly and real nice and understood my frustration. So then I return the truck the same day at the Gretna location when I had the 24 hour rental. Call the 800 number at drop off she says leave the keys in the drop box and they will check it in tomorrow when they get there. So I wake up to a message saying I was charged 40 dollars for returning the truck a day late. Had to drive back to Gretna and ask them what they was doing. Worse experience ever I will avoid using uhaul again in the future.

This location incorporates procedures they claim are required that are not in line with my experience with any other u-haul location such as being told I could not rent if I did not have a local address, and I could not rent if I did not have a second phone number. I rent dozens of U-haul vehicles/trailers across the country and this is a first. In addition, the General Manage (heavy-set male) was rude regarding all of this. The fact that I set up an express/pre-check in pick up is meaningless in this location. This location makes me question doing business with u-haul at all. My time cannot afford inconsistency/rogue locations such as this one. Very negative experience.
