Uhaul has great availability but this only seems to be due to them parking equipment and every mom and pop site they can find. Most of them are there just to hand you the keys. The 15 ft truck looked like it hadn't been washed in months. The inside of the cab was dirty and had a bad smell. The truck itself had several scratches and dents which I took pictures of prior to driving it off. I also used the app to upload the required four pictures as well as comments to point out the scratches and dents, but once I had it all entered and hit "continue" the app lost everything and reset the page. I attempted to go through it all again but by then the session had timed out. I called the rep back and was told "not to worry about it, just keep the pictures I have". I would much rather deal with an actual Uhaul store and people that work for the company.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkWhile I don’t appreciate that there was nobody there and was forced to use the app, it is an easy location and the app process since the last frustrating time I had to use it a few years back, was more user friendly than before. I don’t believe that the customer should have to pay for the truck and then also do the job of checking in the truck, which an employee should be responsible for. If I were receiving a discount for doing it all myself, that would be one thing. But as expensive as the rental was, having an employee would have been a better option.
