This U-Haul pickup location felt unsafe, was dirty, and had very little parking. I noticed right when I arrived that the trailer they had for me had a broken piece of metal on the fender that was rubbing on the tire from a previous incident. When I expressed my concern with the employee working, they said, “No, it will be fine.” For a 1,200+ mile drive, I did not feel comfortable hauling this trailer. Thankfully, a different person at the location overheard my discomfort and took it upon himself to fix it. He removed the broken metal so nothing was rubbing on the tires. Additionally, I was supposed to pick up my trailer from a different location that was closer to my home, and I called the morning of to confirm its availability, and they said I had been moved to a different location. No one contacted me or told me there was a change, so if I hadn’t called, I would’ve gone to the wrong place. The new location was also 30 minutes further away, so I had to change my plans to accommodate the drive. Overall, it was not a good experience at this U-Haul location.
