It was a barbershop. The person that actually ran the U-Haul part of the business wasn’t there. No help unloading the trailer. I was charged an additional $28.64 for some reason. Crappy service! I won’t recommend it to no one. I won’t use it again.

I went to three different U-Haul locations because no one called and said my appointment location had changed. None of my info processed even though I entered everything online and created an account. The Meridian manager was friendly, but the whole experience was unprofessional and unorganized.

It was at night and seemed like it was in a bad area

My auto transport was not attached correctly and came off less than five miles from where i picked up the truck. I was left in the street for nearly an hour while i reattached it in traffic and missed my appointment to purchase a vehicle.

I was originally scheduled to pick up the truck on Friday. When I arrived at the agreed-upon location which was on Jordan Lane in Huntsville, I was told that my scheduled pickup was for the next day, Saturday. This was obviously not correct because I know when I was moving. I had a confirmation number and a text message from the company stating when I was supposed to pick up the truck. When I arrived at the Jordan Lane location and was informed that I was a day early I was also told that they did not have a truck for me. Thankfully, they found a truck at the Meridian Street location. The Meridian Street location is an empty office. Literally, there is no furniture in it and there was the most clueless employee in the history of mankind sitting in it. He tried at least five times to verify my reservation with the tablet that he was working on. After about 45 minutes of him attempting to try to confirm my truck reservation he finally called a manager who took my information over the phone. I was given no printed contract or any information whatsoever. I had no idea what I was going to be charged nor did I know when it was going to be taken from my credit card. I was given no instructions on how to return the truck after hours. I have rented from U-Haul in the past. This was by far the most miserable experience ever. The truck operated fine and I was able to finish my move. I then looked on my bank statement and noticed that I had been charged two separate times. I was not informed of how the charges would take place and I was surprised to see that on the first day I was charged a little over $200 and then interestingly the next day I was charged another $41. There was no explanation and I still have received nothing in writing and no documentation whatsoever to support the charges or to justify them. At one point after I had picked up the truck I called the U-Haul corporate office. I wanted to know if there was any way I could get any documentation as to what my charges would be. I spoke with the lady who did email me the contract. But had I not contacted her I would have not received anything.

They had an extremely hard time connecting the trailer up. Then we we got to the location to turn it in we could not disconnect from the trailer. The ball was stuck in the trailer hitch. An overall awful experience.

It was a bit confusing as to where to park for dropping off.
