U-Haul Moving & Storage of Power & Light did not have the equipment that I had reserved. They told me that I had to use other equipment that I did not reserve, and could not use. They said my reservation was, "Subject to availability." They very very rude. I called Customer Service by phone and asked it there was another location where I could pick up, and they said no. U-Haul Moving & Storage of Power & Light threw out my reservation and wrote me up as a walk-in, and completely messed up the order, everything about it was incorrect. They should not be in the U-Haul business. Finally several days later they went and got the equipment that I had reserved a month before. I drove to Florida. Hurricane Irma came, I need to drive up to Mississippi. So I called to extend my reservation. They told me that an additional charge of $60 per day would be required, and I agreed. When it was all over they added 40 cents a mile to my bill, $395 additional, for driving away from the hurricane and back to Florida. There was NO MENTION of additional mileage charge when I extended my reservation. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the lady told me that she was the supervisor. Read all the fine print. Additional charges may apply,... even in a hurricane. 1. Only rent U-Haul from a location near you that you know and trust. Go there in person. Never reserve on line. The website will ask you for your "preferred pick-up location." Then they will assign your order to another location across town, in a neighborhood you don't want to go in, and you will need to deal with people what may not have the equipment you need. 2. Never call Customer Service, they will keep you on hold forever and then hang up, or just keep sending you back to the main menu. They work from home, you can hear kids playing and dogs barking in the background. If you keep calling eventually you might get someone who know how to handle your situation. All calls are fully recorded. Best to call the location where you picked up the equipment, the people you know and trust. U-Haul is an amazing company, the best equipment at the best price. That part is still working OK. But the website and phone support are very poor. It's like dealing with a different company all together. MovingHelp.com has provided good results.

Crew was very efficient. Was able to load more than I expected; there was no shifting noticed after the drive to Louisiana. After they were done instead of instantly leaving, they were nice enough to wait a few minutes until I got the van moved from the back of the apartment complex around front to the street near where they were parked then they pulled away so I could pull in and use their parking place instead of having to hunt for a curbside spot on nearby downtown streets. Very thoughtful.

This wasn't location where we had planned to pick up the truck. Got an e-mail yesterday stating the new location with no reason for the change. The pick up time was set of 8 AM today. At 8:45 AM we received a text stating that it would not be ready till 9:30 AM. We got to the facility and did the paper work for a truck then they said we would have to take a different truck so we had to do the paper work again. When we got to the place where we were going to load the truck we discovered that there was no loading ramp on this truck. We had to lift every item up to the bed of the ruck by hand. I am somewhat disappointed in U-Haul.

This entire experience was horrible.The customer service number was rude and disrespectful when I called on both drop off and pick up and thebladybwanted tobargue with me instead of help seeing as I paid almost 400 to rent this uhaul I will never use this company again both pick up and drop off were a hassel even though I prepaid for the reservation

Everything was great . The truck I had originally Made a reservation for was not available so I was upgraded to a larger truck that accommodating me even better . Well I was disappointed because the tank when I left the facility was a little under the first white line. The lady checking out the truck said just make sure you fill it back to the first white line. So I said ok. Then I drove the truck and moved my stuff and then went to a gas station before I was bringing it back. So I went to look on the paperwork to see how many gallons I needed to put in to fill it up to the white line . That is when I noticed that it said to fill it between the first white line and the second white line on the paperwork . I was honestly very upset because that is where the gas began but I had to fill up there and spend the extra money because I knew I would be charged ridiculously for gas if you didn't match the paperwork. I feel like it was the ladies job when we were checking it out to make sure the paperwork and what was in the truck matched before I pulled off. But lesson learned from now on I'm going to take a video of where the gas started because I feel like I was scammed out of extra money .

Had one problem upon arrival not sure if there was an incident prior to me coming in. I felt discrimanated against because someone channeled in on two way radio asking was you with that other lady & I was confused like what other lady & I felt the assistant manager gave a look like yeah okay bet not be lying (he didn't state that) but I expressed how I felt & how I've done business there before & I didn't care for the accusation..... I asked do we all look alike, other than that everything was great! However I will not return to that location. Thanks for listening ......the owner is always great!

Telephone customer service and reservation were horrid absolutely horrible I have never had such horrible experience in my life the only saving grace was downtown Kansas City Uhaul location and of itself if I could I would have given a 04 customer service via phone

The truck we had looked like it had been through war and back. The employees were incredibly rude, especially a woman on the phone that acted like the question I asked was dumb and didn't give a straight answer. When returning the truck, another woman yelled at my brother and dad because they parked in the wrong spot.
