I had a very disappointing experience with Ace and won’t be renting from them again. When I picked up the truck, it was in terrible condition. There was trash in the back, broken tie-down straps everywhere, the check engine light was on, and despite being told it had about 1/4 tank of gas, it was actually almost empty. When I returned the truck, there was nowhere to park. I explained to the employees that I was bringing it back with about 1/8 tank because I had received it nearly on empty. They told me, “No problem, we understand.” I even asked if they were sure because I didn’t want to be charged and offered to go add more fuel if necessary. They assured me it was fine and that I would not be charged. Unfortunately, that wasn’t true. I was charged a fuel service fee along with additional charges for fuel anyway. To make matters worse, the employee at the counter didn’t even inspect the vehicle. Instead, he had me go outside, take pictures of the mileage and cleanliness myself, and bring them back to him. Overall, this was an unprofessional experience from start to finish. Between the poor condition of the vehicle, the misleading information about the fuel level, the broken promise regarding the fuel charge, and the lack of even a basic return inspection, I have no confidence in renting from Ace again. I’ll gladly drive the extra couple of miles to rent from a company that treats its customers professionally.

Everything went very smooth.
Albert CRented 15ft trailer, paid & keys were nowhere to be found for 40 minutes, had to get bigger uhaul and be upcharged. When returning, system was down for employees for 30 minutes. Entire experience was too time consuming and a headache. Employees tried their best to navigate and no issue, it was the uhaul system and no keys.
KELSIE GWilliam, the employee at Ridley's Ace Hardware, told me that as long as I had the truck back before they close at 9:00pm then I was good and there wouldn't be any additional charges. Upon return, around 8:30pm, he charged me for an extra day. He said "sorry, you'll need to call U Haul".
JORDAN TWe ended up having to keep 2 uhauls for 17 days because our lender could not get our new house closed. I ended up paying close to 2,000. I was incredibly disappointed that there wasn’t a single discount that was offered either AAA or veteran. You simply just charged me 117.00 a day with no thought for our circumstances. Very disappointing.
