My 5 year old found a used crack pipe in the glove compartment of the uhaul I rented. I snatched it from her before she stuck her finger in the hole of the used pipe. Not professional at all. Not one bit they are supposed to be cleaned, and if I got pulled over for any reason and the uhaul got search I could have been arrested and being a single mom my child would have been taken from me. The app is so confusing and not for the average person who just wants to rent a truck. You need to lower your price if you think the customer needs to take all those dumb photos and claims on the truck. The truck drove like it was in first gear the entire time. It sounded like it was going to fall apart. It was snowy and icy and the app wanted to charge me for a cleaning fee. Totally uncalled for! We had the truck for 5 hours and was not responsible for the icy road. This is the 4th time we have rented a truck in the last few months and none of our account information was saved on our account? Only 1 employee wore masks. I've already lost a friend to covid-19 and my nephews entire family had covid-19 due to people not respecting the safety of others. I would never have rented if I had known employees were not going to be respectful to the lives of others. Remote check-in did not work on my cell. The $1 environmental charge for was not disclosed when I rented the truck.. This charge is ridiculous! You guys think you will just slip in a $1 fee and no one will question it. I am very disappointed with the service we have received during this rental. First, none of your employees are wearing masks according to the Kansas City and Clay County mandates. This is irresponsible. Second, I elected to decline the protective coverage on the Uhaul vehicle multiple times when scheduling online. When my wife arrived, she should have only been required to sign and walk around the vehicle with the attendant, but she was told this was a necessary additional charge due to the weather. She picked up the truck because I could not get off of work that day, and she should not be taken advantage of for this. Third, there is an additional "Sales Item" for $13.00, that is not listed on the contract. I would like clarification on this. Finally, we were charged extra for gas after we dropped off the truck and this is not accurate nor acceptable. The attendant at the desk was unwilling to check in the truck while I was there, then checked it in at a lower amount of gas than was left.EMILY S.
