Our dropoff location was changed without our input at the last minute. The new location wasn't labeled well, so was hard to find and we had to drive around to find it (which took extra fuel). It ended up being a Marathon gas station, the people were not willing to help and didn't check us in and referred us to the online resources The app didn't work so we had to call to make sure it was received; hold time was over an hour, so we left the truck and returned home. When I called the next day to make sure it was checked in, the person at the local number said she was too busy to confirm the truck was returned, even though it had been returned the afternoon the DAY BEFORE. Our truck was now showing up as "Overdue" on the website, so I called the central customer service number, but they just contacted the location and repeated the same thing. We were told to check back later. Then we received texts saying that UHaul was trying to reach us (not true - we never received ANY contact from them that we didn't initiate) because the truck had not been returned. This was AFTER talking to the local shop and the central customer service number. Service was horrible. Communication was horrible. Technology didn't work on either end (pick up or drop off). Logistics were horrible (we had major location changes for both our pick up and dropoff location without explanation; and without compensation for additional fuel). Frustrating experience from beginning to end. Will not use UHaul again, and recommend others use a different truck rental service. ANY other service.
