We tried to pick up the truck starting at 7:00 am on Saturday. We didn't actually get the truck until 10:00. The office hours said they opened at 9:00 but no one was there. The location had horrible cell coverage. Two different cell phones from different carriers were struggling to get any reception which makes it very difficult to get a truck via mobile apps. When we tried to contact Uhaul customer service there was an hour long wait on the phone to get in touch with someone at Uhaul corporate for help. When we were finally able to get a human on the phone from the location they were rude and not helpful at all. We kept having to drive up and down the driveway to get reception bars. Then we had to wait for the one time passcode over and over to come through to verify us. This was obviously a U-haul issue because my husband and I could text each other back and forth (testing the reception) and our texts to each other were coming through fine. I cannot express how frustrating this entire process was. I would normally have driven into Lansing to the Uhaul hub to rent a truck but this was close so it seemed like a good idea. I WILL never attempt this again.

We were used less miles than we estimated and didn’t get a refund for that, and on top of that we were charged an after hours fee when we didn’t drop the unit off late or after hours. Incredibly disappointed to say the very least!
