I was overcharged. I only drove the truck 30 miles approximately and replaced the fuel, but still was charged for it. According to them, after U-Haul moved my reservation 15 miles away from where I needed it, and had originally reserved it, the used car lot didn’t seem to know anything about the agreement I had for U-Haul. The only good part is the truck ran and did its job. I won’t be using U-Haul again.
Jeromy CThe drop off spot was a mess! The yard where I dropped it off was beyond ridiculous. Homeless couple living in lot were doing meth and begging for money. Homeless people all around. We later saw the same lady meth addict soliciting customers at the Post Office next door begging for money. The business office was across the street, the worst used car dealership I have seen with a guy working on his car in the car lot. I was directed to the drop box and no one really represented U-Haul. I just got a bill for the gas tank not being at one third where the needle could have easily gone either way but didn't get the benefit of the doubt. Let's be honest here, the environment is a mess and siphoning gas (homeless, meth addicts or staff) or anything else to U-Haul vehicles can occur. And by the way, the regional manager (George?) who obviously did not do the proper vetting, never called us back where we could have reported the mess at the drop off point. And, yes I am complaining so please forward this to someone that cares. And Chevelle Auto Sales is an insult to auto sales, and more like a pawn shop. Please send someone out there and you will have the same reaction to all this as we had. There is a nasty little trailer in the same drop off lot where we dropped off the U-Haul vehicle. I wish I would have taken a photo to attach to this statement! I think the regional manager should set up a tent and cot to guard U-Haul vehicles and see how long he will last there.
berk bApathetic is the first word that comes to mind regarding the Chevelles Auto Sales pickup location. The U-Haul trucks were mixed in a parking lot of broke down cars. I did not feel safe leaving my personal vehicle parked there unattended. No one could be bothered to sweep out the back of the truck prior to my pickup. The packing blankets I requested were not in the truck. There was no one at the location and no one answered the phone when I called about the packing blankets. I found another U-Haul location, (Storage At Exit 24 in Phoenix, OR) a few miles away that opened an hour after my scheduled pickup that let me take their blankets... they even blew out the back of the truck for me! They were the total opposite of the Chevelles Auto Sales location. Next time I need to rent a truck, I will choose to use a different rental company all together or change my plans before I would use the Chevelles Auto Sales location again.
MICHAEL MChevelle was amazing. She was very nice, helpful & informative. If I need to rent another U-Haul in Medford this will be my 1st choice.
