This location was lovely, and I would recommend if you’re using U-Haul to go here however, my experience with U-Haul as a company was quite poor. I originally booked a cargo van with a furniture dolly at a different location. When I arrived, they didn’t have the correct equipment, and because they are simply a drop-off/ pickup center, they couldn’t actually provide customer service, and I had to cancel the reservation and try to find something else last minute. They also then could not confirm that the reservation had been cancelled in writing or email or anything else. I just had to trust that I wasn’t going to be charged. Everywhere I called after that couldn’t guarantee that they had the right moving equipment. After some time with customer service they were able to confirm something that wasn’t in another city- because that was the original suggestion. They two also had to randomly call locations to see if something was available. Originally they had me driving to Etobicoke or to the other side of the city. In the opposite direction of the location, I was going. At that point, I was more than an hour behind schedule. The online booking system is cumbersome and then in accurate. I would suggest being able to filter by not just the kind of van/truck but also the features of it. For example having a backup cam for someone who’s not always comfortable driving something that large should be an option you can filter by. Obviously the correct equipment should also be in the correct location. The self service app is a nightmare to use. It consistently stopped loading when I was part way through taking pictures and had to keep restarting. I never got a complete set of pictures at either location because the app functions so poorly. I also couldn’t take pictures properly as a result of the way that the trucks were parked. This should be ready for customers if the expectation is that we check ourselves in. What you save in paying for actual U-Haul locations, with U-Haul representatives who can problem solve, and provide service like making sure the vehicle is in good condition, you are losing in quality of service by a significant degree. When I went to return the truck, the location itself was closed, but did provide an after hours drop off that was easy to use. However, the link I was originally sent to complete drop off was expired. I waited on hold with customer service for more than 15 minutes before I gave up and tried the app. This, of course, was not working properly. I had to use the online chat and had to go into that twice before I could even connect with a representative who gave me stock answers to the point that I thought I was talking to a bot. I had to ask for a real person only to be confirmed that I was speaking to one. This will be my last experience with U-Haul. I am happy to be contacted by a service agent to answer any further questions.

OMARIE FI had a very disappointing experience at the Royal Cargo Service pickup location. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. Despite having a confirmed pickup time, I was not given the keys on time. Instead, I was told to come back later because they were “dealing with another customer.”My pickup time had already passed, and this caused unnecessary delay and stress. Having a reservation should mean my time is respected. Poor customer service and lack of basic courtesy made this experience frustrating. I expect better professionalism from a U-Haul pickup partner, especially when customers are on tight schedules.
