I was charged for 231 extra miles when I turned the truck in. I was told when I rented a truck that they would give me an extra 231 miles because of difficulty I was having and getting the truck rented.

VALORIE V.The rental was all good until I started having transmission issues with the truck that was pulling the U-Haul trailer. I was desperate to drop the trailer off at any nearby U-Haul dealer but after many calls to U-Haul I was denied that option and was required to tow it 400 more miles on a transmission that was overheating. I was willing to pay a penalty to be able to drop it off somewhere different than my original planned point, but I was not allowed by U-haul. :(
