Light plugs were very corroded. The lights were dim and intermittent. Chains were way long and drug on the ground. Man at location just said “lights worked when dropped off” (there’s no way). He just said call Uhaul to come and fix! I had no time for that I was leaving for out of town with the trailer! I drove to my house with no lights and had to clean and spread the contacts so they’d work! As for the chains, he wrapped the excess around the tongue handle and said “they’ll be fine”. They were so tight they would have damaged my truck or the trailer if turning. I unhooked them and draped them over the hitch to get home and I, moved the adjustable link to shorten them to not drag the ground. Then had to use my zip ties to keep the extra from touching the ground. I’d like to know why the chains needed to be two feet long to begin with? I’d also like to know why when I rent a uhaul that I have to do U-Haul’s work for them?
