Business was closed, dropped off equipment after hours.
Andres GThe employees were kind and I did not experience any issues with interacting with anyone. My low rating was due to multiple experiences in preparation for my move from Alaska to Texas involving getting a hitch installed on my vehicle and then my interactions over the phone with Martin regarding dropping off the trailer in my destination location. The issue I experienced with getting the hitch installed for my vehicle was scheduling. I arrived about 15 minutes before my appointment and waited about an hour before I was told that the vehicle they were working on prior to my appointment was taking them longer than expected and recommended I come back the next day or later on that day. Since I worked the next day and would be unable to, I returned in 3 hours. I, again, waited about an hour and a half before the vehicle was actually brought into the bay to be worked on. It took longer than expected and I was late to a scheduled dinner. The team communicated well with me, but it was frustrating to have spent my whole day dealing with this when I was told that the hitch installment wouldn't take longer than an hour when I had it scheduled. The next issue I dealt with was I came back to schedule the reservation for the 4x8 covered trailer for my move. This went well. But when I picked up the trailer, The trailer itself was very low to the ground after hooking it up. There was about a 2 inch clearance from the part that sits on the ground when it is unhooked and the ground. I asked the employee if I had connected everything correctly and if it looked okay... I was told it was fine. I had a friend take a look and tell me that I would end up bottoming it out driving through the Yukon if it wasn't raised. Also, the trailer was not level, the forward portion was leaning forward. Again, this was "okay" per the place I picked it up from. I returned to the Uhaul center I got my hitch placed and 2 guys helped me flip the hitch to raise it up a few more inches and it was perfect. When I picked up the trailer, I had informed them that I was expecting to have the trailer for about 4 weeks for the move due to driving through Canada and the US to my move in location. I reported this due to seeing that the contract had stated I have 15 days with the trailer before being charged extra. I was told that it was okay and that I would just let whoever calls me know about the return date. I was also not given an estimate of what the expected extra charge would be. So, about 2 weeks of travel, I receive a call from Martin regarding the return of the trailer. I informed him of the expected return date. He sounded surprised or confused and said that I had not stated this during pick up. I informed him that I was told that I was just to tell him, or "whoever called," about the expected return date. Martin sounded frustrated and I had thought to be mildly rude during the conversation. I feel that there was poor communication and that I had done what I was told. I was also not told of a time the trailer was expected to be returned the day of, so when I received another call from Martin today about it, I asked him of the address for the facility for the trailer to be returned to and when I was expecting to return it. I had him on speakerphone and even my partner stated he sounded rude after the call was ended. I'm not excusing the issues my reservation and return may have caused, but I found the communication to be lacking and unhelpful most of the time. I was grateful that Rudy, owner of Contigo, was very nice and helpful when I brought in the trailer to be dropped off.
