Very nice customer service

The truck had a lot of issues making it difficult to drive. There were only 2 people working so return process took longer than needed.

Website is hard to use for making reservations, but otherwise it was a very good experience and kudos to the Deer Park, Newport News VA general manager for her service and engaging demeanor.

Keep your staff! Superfolks

Christal was very professional, the other lady was rude and not helpful at all. One of the Carport straps kept getting loose and passenger door kept getting loose and making a loud noise throughout the whole trip. Annoying to say the least.

Staff was wonderful. The Moving Monster did not show to do their job. I will file a complaint to get money back.

They were very pleasant and easy to work with. I very much enjoyed check in, i do not remember her name. I was having a terrible morning and she was a great comfort.

My experience was great. Workers are friendly and very helpful. I don’t think that we should wait to retrieve money that was paid. If we didn’t use all the mileage then we should be automatically reimbursed. Shouldn’t have to wait for that

The Ford Sprinter vans are bigger and nicer than the older vans, you should give those out first.

Nothing to improve on for future customers. Keep up the great work. I love that GMC pickup truck.

Shout to the general manager for providing great customer service! I went in on a busy Saturday morning and someone had called in sick so there was quite a line to pickup my truck, but she was efficient and pleasant. Thank you!

Stop letting your employees smoke in the vehicles and then blame the smell on a previous customer. I had a 5-day rental and had to turn it back in less than 24 hours later due to the strength of the cigarette smell. When I picked up the vehicle, I immediately smelled it, went back inside and told the desk. One employee came with me to confirm, said it was the last customer, and then went and got me two air fresheners. I went home and parked the van for the night, after I loaded it with a bunch of donated items. The next morning, the smell was overpowering. We decided we would rather use our own minivan and put 2,000 miles on it than stay in this vehicle. My wife and I returned the van, and it was at this time that we saw one of the employees cleaning out another recently returned van, all while smoking a cigarette inside the vehicle. The best part of this whole thing was they actually charged me for one day of my rental. Are you kidding me?!?! I put 20 miles on the van and returned it. Oh yeah, let’s not forget the $40+ in gas I put in the vehicle the day before to fill it up for my trip. In the end, the store owner allowed the 1-day charge to go away and accepted a full gas tank paid by me as payment enough. We will never use this U-Haul location again.

Quick, friendly, and explained everything in detail.

The trailer leaked. We were traveling in rain all day. About 5 boxes got totally wet....Contents ok, but boxes ruined. Some of them were original packaging boxes from the 50s that enhanced the content' s value.. Very disappointed. Planning to complain.

Hire more gets very busy on the weekend to only have 2 people working and one doesn't know how to use the computer

This location is managed poorly and I will no longer be using uhal service for any future moves.

I had my own hand truck and put it in the back. I did not latch the back properly and the back slid up and my hand truck fell out somewhere along the route. I wish they would have told me the back door will slide up in transit. I could have kept my hand truck. My fault just wish I knew.

Staff was courteous and helpful. The only problem I had was the hand cart has small thin wheels that sink easily into any soil and the cart itself is pretty heavy. All for durability I'm sure but not easy to use.
