We recently rented a U-Haul truck for a one-way move from Texas to Tennessee. About an 1 1/2 hours into our drive with a fully loaded truck, we started experiencing serious engine trouble. When we called roadside assistance, they were unable to reach a mechanic and advised us to keep driving. However, customer service made a significant difference in our experience. I called U-Haul customer service and asked to speak to a manager, and I was connected to Steven Vanderbilt, the Area Field Manager. Steven listened carefully to all of our mechanical issues, offered a sincere apology, and asked how they could make it right. He went above and beyond to rectify the situation. He was kind, understanding, and provided a refreshing, stress-relieving voice during a very difficult time. Steven's wonderful customer service is top-notch, and we truly appreciate how he stepped in to make things right. Thank you Steven for all your assistance in this matter. We truly appreciate you!
