I booked online over the phone with a girl named summer and told her that I was not able to pay with the credit card that I booked with. And she verified that that was okay, and that I could pay with a different credit card, but when I got there she was adamant that I had to pay with the credit card that I booked with. This was the reason that I called ahead of time to make sure I didn't run into this situation. Which of course, I ran into, she then tells me that over the phone, the girl gave me 260 km when all I asked for was a 160. So she set that up and then the lady at the store, the location with the truck told me that if I wasn't going to use it, we could change it to 160 and it would be cheaper. So I said, yeah, go ahead, I'll, it won't be over 160. It's going to be right around 150, so I get there. Figure out the credit card situation, and I leave. I go pick up what I'm moving and I move it. And then I drive the vehicle back. I ended up putting about $15 too much in fuel to put it to where it was when I got it. Also when I picked it up, she said that it was the one line over top of half when I got into the vehicle I have pitchers, the gasged was more at about half as soon as I started driving it, it was at half. So I drop it off with that gas in it. And she comes in and she says, oh, it's gonna be whatever. Whatever I just need you to pay for this. I said, well, what is the extra? We agreed to like 130 something, so you goes well. You went over for a kilometers. And I said, well, no I got up to about 155, and you said it was 160. She goes no, no, they only do 150, but I verified with her. That I was getting 160 before I left, so the whole thing was very sneaky greedy. And everything is hidden, instead of being transparent. The location is also very ghetto. The owners of the company are very ghetto and dirty, and I would never suggest sending anybody to this location because they are liars and scammers. I also don't put a 100% blame on the store owner as summer completely lied to me. As well, she also forced me to book. When I was not ready.
Brendon HI found this location and the service to be exceptional. The owner I am assuming went out of his way to ensure I had a truck and was able to move without hassles. The truck was clean. I didn't notice any moving blankets but I didn't need them. Pricing is reasonable - pretty standard for uhaul. I just like the convenience of the location and the ease of renting. I would definitely recommend them and I will be using them again.
Claudine MVery bad service at the Multi Brands Outlet on Lundy’s Lane, Niagara Falls. I was charged $213 for driving only 48 km, plus an additional $30 for gas, which is much higher than expected. Previously, I rented the same 20-foot truck from the company’s Montrose Road location in Niagara Falls, where I paid only $79, including approximately 70 km, with no hidden surprises. The huge difference in pricing between the two locations is unacceptable and feels unfair. Based on my experience, I will never use this location again and would not recommend it to any of my friends. I hope the company reviews the pricing and customer service at this branch.
Ijaz SI reserved a truck in St Catherine’s but was told the day before that none was available and was moved to this location. I appreciate that extra kms were granted, but the gas for the extra 13 km still came from my pocket. While the manager who dealt with my phone call and rental was extremely helpful, the odometer reading on the paper didn’t match that of the truck and a “full” tank was not at the fully full line. *if you change the pick up or drop off location from the customer’s request that was confirmed, consider not only km credit, but fuel credit as well.
