They did not answer my question.

There should always be two people at the registers. Lines get long when one of them has to leave out. The employees here are always nice and helpful. I've been at this location 3 times, within the year, and I have had a wonderful experience each time.

I received an email from U-Haul directing me to this address to pick up my vehicle. Upon arrival staff informed me that my vehicle have been reserved at a different location. They were helpful and able to accommodate me. They provided me a rental at that location.

People at Oakland location where rude and not professional. Also the Jackson st location in Hayward did not care that they messed up my order and then she gave me attitude after the fact.

Make sure the rentals are in working condition so that your not wasting anybody’s time or have to downgrade on a truck . Make sure gas and miles are correct.

Storages are not big enough and you can't take the truck in to unpack

I would recommend additional staffing is required at this location, because it is very there wasn't enough staffing to meet the early morning needs of the customers. However the staff was very friendly and nice.

There was a bit of a wait in line to pick up the truck. It is a huge facility so maybe adding another register so a 3rd person can process transactions when the wait has gone longer than 10-15 mins would keep customers happy. I was very happy with both women who took care of my transaction. They were friendly and thorough.

The 10’ truck was pretty clunky to drive. It had 100k miles on it and probably needed new suspension and transmission. It was clean inside and out though.

Have the vehicle your customer reserves, AND you confirm, actually be there- don’t leave your customers in the lurch at the last minute after you confirm a reservation! I can’t comprehend how a company could devote the resources you do to taking reservations, credit card information, and communicating confirmations fail so completely at managing your inventory. When I first tried to inquire about an earlier pickup time (I requested 7 am, was told I had a truck at 6 pm) a customer service represent literally laughed at me, telling me I was lucky to have a reservation at all- in reality, having a reservation with uhaul means NOTHING. Does corporate even speak to the individual locations? My experience and several of my friends’ recent experiences in different cities with uhaul seem to indicate that what happens on the website and with customer service has no actual connection to reality. To paraphrase Seinfeld, “taking a reservation is easy. The trick is you have to KEEP the reservation”. I would like to point out that in the nearly 3 hours I spent on hold with uhaul customer service trying to resolve this situation, only one individual was professional, helpful and appeared to genuinely care- Sim in the Oakland region customer service center. He helped me locate a truck (smaller than what I needed, but it was actually available) in a timely and helpful way. Please eliminate the bulk of your unhelpful, incompetent and disrespectful workforce and hire as many people like Sim that you can possibly find. Give him a raise and have him train others. While I may move again, I can assure you that I will not be using uhaul to do so, and I will strongly discourage anyone I possibly can from using Uhaul also. Moving is stressful- uhaul made it worse for me.

My experience here was absolutely appalling. Despite making my U-Box reservation a month in advance, calling in to check on the reservation a week in advance, and calling again a day in advance, this location had no idea that I had a U-Box reservation. They had no one scheduled to run the fork lift that day (why would someone need to run a fork lift at a moving company), and because of this the employees on the site attempted to sway me into NOT moving anything on the day of my reservation. That I made a month in advance. Ignoring their attempts to prevent me from moving my things (as I'd made arrangements to have friends help me, since I had a month to plan), I went to load my items into my U-Box. However, the employee on-site had no idea which box was supposed to be mine, and randomly gave me the closest one to him. This caused the box that I moved all of my things in to to be moved to Santa Rosa, which was a good hour away, less than twenty-four hours after I moved my things into it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there should've been a few days window when I could've accessed my things. Unfortunately, since they were in an entirely different part of California, I couldn't. Then I received an email stating that my new delivery date was two days later than what it was when I made my reservation -- a month in advance! Don't use this location -- it's poorly managed, the employees have no idea what they're doing, and your things will wind up in Santa Rosa. I'm so disappointed in U-Haul, and have been trying to reach a manager for weeks, but no one has gotten back to me. Save yourself a headache and go to Penske instead.

The van was dirty outside but clean inside pretty much. I was a little shocked to find that I had to put in 5 gallons of gas after driving it only 26 miles! I guess vans are rated gallons per mile, not miles per gallon :-)! It has a full tank when I started, per the attendant. But the van served my purpose and was really easy to drive. I can say that the staff at this U-Haul were wonderful and very helpful! I would highly recommend it!

The representative was fabulous, knowledgeable and seemed to be the go-to person for the rest of the staff. She was the good rhing about my experience. The bad things anout my experience was I reserved two hand trucks and they were not provided. Really complicated my day and cost me additional money
