The pick up location staff were great and very helpful. It's U-Haul as a company that has customers completely frustrated with the "confirmed" rental process at a specific location weeks in advance that you find out 48 hours before your rental start date that your rental isn't "confirmed" at that location AT ALL. Four days prior to our rental I contacted scheduling and was informed our 26' truck was confirmed at this local pick up location. The pick up location proceeded to change 3 times over the next 3 days and we ended up having to drive almost 3 hours (each way) to get it. This is not only absurd, but it obviously cost us a lot of additional money in gas. If equipment is confirmed at a specific location whether days or weeks in advance, it should be there and available on the day you scheduled it. U-Haul used to have drivers get their equipment to the needed locations. Now, they use their customers to do this - at the time and expense of the customers. If we had a different option, we would have used a different company than U-Haul. Even these U-Haul rental locations are frustrated with this.
