This is one of the worst experiences I had moving. Picking up the truck was a breeze and loading it wasn’t too bad either. However, once we loaded it we locked the back with the U-Haul lock. When we got to the new place to unload the truck, we realized there were no keys to unlock the truck. We called U-Haul to help solve this issue and they wanted us to drive back to the place we got the truck to have them unlock it. This would’ve cost us more money and gas for a mistake they caused which is ridiculous. We proceeded to tell the woman on the phone this and she transferred us to multiple departments. After a while, we had to have a locksmith come out to pick the lock. This process cost of 3 hours of time we could’ve spent unloading and unpacking. I will not be using the service again in the future…

I lost my time and my money
OTMANE TThe gentleman at the counter asked what time I would drop it off and I said 7:30 pm to make sure I had enough time to do what I needed to do and bring it back in time, then the gentleman insisted that he will make the drop off time 9:45pm so we could have more than enough time to do what we needed to do and drop off the truck, when I come to drop off the truck the gentleman tells me wife who was present at the pick up that oh it’s by the time you make the pick up which means I would have had to brought it back by 7:30 but we arrived at 9:20 just 25 minutes before the time that we both agreed upon came by, he then says that he never said that , to which I said well you have cameras that record both video and audio that show you saying 9:45pm drop off was okay, he told me that he didn’t have access to the footage that only his manager does, to which I then said “ well it’s a good thing I’m off tomorrow cause I can wait for him to get here and show us the video of you telling us that 9:45pm is okay cause if it’s not then your basically robbing me for an extra days worth of payment” then he got on the phone with his boss and went back and forth with him, after 5 minutes he then tells me that he will allow it for today making it seem like he was doing me a favor to which I then said ” no your giving me 2 days because even your boss knows you fucked up and you don’t even want to admit it”, I constantly have rented trucks with U-Haul for a moving business but after this experience I will definitely be more cautious about which company I spend my money with.
