I reserved a 10' truck at a location close to the site where I was to pick up cargo and convenient to my home. About an hour before pick up, UHaul called and switched my location to one farther away and for a 15' truck. I wanted the 10' for ease of positioned where I needed to pick up my cargo and for fuel economy. Instead I get a larger truck farther away from my home and my cargo site. I estimated my original mileage would be 8 miles. After I picked up the 15' truck at the new location and returned it, The odometer had 12 miles on it (161420 - 161432). I was billed for 3 gallons. My drive was longer, the truck the wrong size, and the charges higher than expected. I am not at all pleased and will not use UHaul again. Very disappointed with this experience in UHaul's hometown. Next time I'll use Home Depot.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkWe had a reservation set for Saturday. Our truck was not ready for us and we were given a larger truck at an increased price. We are not happy about having to pay extra. The truck that we did have was just fine and worked well.
Gary JThis was one of the worst experiences I have had with renting a U-Haul. I thought that we would be picking up from a U-Haul location, but instead it was a convenience store. The person who I was renting from left when I got there and I had to go through the reservation by phone call and had issues uploading my license. Once I got in, the inside was not clean and there was an alarm that was going off even after I removed the key from the ignition indicating what I thought was the lights left on, even though they were not. I called and was told this was normal but was still very nervous that when I went out the truck would be dead. We asked for (2) Dollies and there was only one. I work for a large company in here and will not be recommending U-Haul moving forward.
Jon SDidn’t have my equipment that I requested. My card was charged multiple times and now I have holds for my refund. You should never have to pick up at a EZ Shop!! Never using U-Haul again.
JOSHUA JI reserved two dollies and they only had one. when I called customer service to have them refund me for the dolly we didn't receive they said the location would have to do it because my order was on hold. The location had no idea how to fix the problem. They also were extremely unhelpful when I was trying to pick up the truck as well. I will not be using U-Haul again.
