I rented from here and the truck was used after I dropped it off and they tried to charge it to my card. Luckily I had taken before and after pictures of the mileage AND fuel gauge (very important). Uhaul refunded me the ~$100 that I was overcharged without question, which implies the location incorrectly charged me. Fast forward one week and I had to hire again from the same location. This time I did a mobile pick up and drop off (recommended) and had no issues with the mileage and fuel. However, as I was returning the truck one of the employees came out and started arguing with me that I was in the wrong. She said the truck had not been used and it was a ‘mistake’. I have never seen a fuel gauge drop before in a mistake, they just don’t drop unless fuel is used. I remained calm and non combative even though she was the aggressor here but I had people with me and did not want a scene tbh. Sad thing is that I have to hire from there again in a week or so (they are right across the road from my storage unit) and I am dreading it. This is not the way you expect a uhaul rental company to conduct themselves. I did ask uhaul management to look into the overcharge issue but they never replied to me. Just an FYI, always, always, always take before and after pictures and videos for the fuel gauge, mileage and entire truck inside and out.
