Hey there, this was a complicated situation. The very pleasant staff person at the Gas and Deli Mart didn't have any way to help with check-in and check-out, and was a little vague about the whole process. Maybe I missed it but calling out on your website that one must use the app at this location would be helpful. Using the app was extremely difficult as well. It could have been a cell service/wifi issue but getting photos to load correctly both of my ID and for photos of the truck for check-in/check-out was pretty difficult. I do use the photo function in other apps, so I don't think it was user error? And I am pretty sure I've used the Uhaul app before successfully, although it's been a couple years ago. And then finally, although the vehicle was clean, the lock cylinder was missing completely from the driver's side, so one had to unlock and enter the truck from the passenger side and crawl over. Not the end of the world but not ideal. The whole thing was just about 23% more frustrating than it should have been.

Guy behind the counter said "Sure, just give me the key and we'll take care of it." I was a little apprehensive, but did as asked. Turns out all was good, but it felt 'off' at the time.

Stephen PYour process of scheduling the pickup spot at a convenient location but then changing it the night before is not good. When a person is moving, every minute is planned so that all coordination comes together for a successful move. You originally switched our pickup spot to a really inconvenient location. I had read enough reviews to know that I should call to see if I could get it changed. I did and your phone person was very helpful and it all worked out but that does not cure the initial panic or the problem I would have had if I did not know to call. Perhaps, when you are going to change a location, your representative should reach out to select a convenient alternate location rather than just picking one.
