This was the expensive, stressful and I will never rent a uhaul here again. I’m too exhausted to go into extra details but basically I got stuck in the rain in 30 degree weather alone standed without my car and in a dark parking lot in an unsafe city and had to look for my specific uhaul in a dark back parking lot after realizing the uhaul I was trying to start wasn’t mine. Uhaul employees made the situation much worse on the phone and one was spoken to and I was given a discount which was nice but in my opinion not enough after traumatizing my minor son who was scared waiting almost 2 hours for me to get back home. I was dropped off by an uber and was told the process was easy which it absolutely was not and then was put in an unsafe situation as a single female after dark. Was totally unnecessary and I will never do this again. I had probably the worst panic attack in my life during this process and then was mocked and laughed at on the phone by an employee and hung up on by several other employees while I was hysterical and trying to figure things out. There was only one employee who actually me and she deserves a raise.
Sarah MCheck your phone for a text with instructions on returning after hours; I wasn't checking mine and missed the instructions to photograph the trailer after disconnecting and the link to submit it to confirm after-hours dropoff.
KIMBERLY LService was very good and the personnel were kind and attentive. The only minor downside was having to search for the specific truck in the back on my own and find the correct code on the side of the truck. The codes were in different places for certain trucks and it took 15 minutes or so to find it. It would be have been helpful if the attendant came outside with me to help. I understand that leaving the store might not be possible, though.
