I was asked to park the truck in a tight location, to which I said it was a bit too tight as I parked in an outer back parking lot. There was one small truck and two poorly positioned trailers at the store. The employee at the store called the gentleman who manages the Princeton U-Haul who told me they were full and that I would need to drop off 45 minutes away. I stated I was not going to do this as Princeton was my designated drop off location. He abruptly and rudely said we won't take your key then call U-Haul and hung up. I proceeded to park the vehicle where I was initially told because I thought they said it was full because it would not fit. Upon parking there I was informed that it was blocking a delivery spot but I was told to park it there. It was tight and I did not want to back it out and just wanted to drop the vehicle off at the location I had scheduled. The employee stated they would fix it and took my key. I was later called by U Haul and the gentleman I had spoken with on the phone stated that I was blocking the delivery part of their store and that I just left it there despite them taking my key and stating they would fix it. I explained this to the corporate U-Haul and then they said they would look into it. This is not how I wanted to spent my evening after days of moving.

Lucinda TThe Princeton location operated from a busy local general store. There was no street signage that presented itself as a U-Haul facility. Two trucks were stored out back and out of sight on passers by on the street. The staff were very difficult to understand and only supplied keys to the vehicles. All questions about U-Haul rentals were directed to call the U-Haul head office to make a booking. There was only two similar trucks were available. I would have preferred to have a smaller cube truck. Once the booking was confirmed via phone, the U-Haul rep would release the keys. The truck was very dirty both inside and out. The truck was mechanically fit. I required some ratchet straps to assist in securing my cargo but the store did not have any to rent, borrow or sell. There did not appear they had any peripheral moving boxes, dollies or supplies available to assist in my move. I found and purchased some ratchet straps at a nearby hardware store. Depending on how desperate or urgently you needed to rent a truck from this location dictated what you were prepared to put up with.
Ron CLocation where i picked up the truck, she was just fine. The problem was with the main U-Hall representative that I put the truck through. They did not follow through with the dispatch number to the pick up location, and then when I tried to get that, everyone was confused that I knew the number from the pick up location first before I got the dispatch number. The location said they need a dispatch number before they can give me the truck number. I got all the way home, and then I got a phone call from the U-Haul center, wanting to know if I wanted to cancel the truck or pick it up at a later time.? I told them that I had already picked up the truck earlier in the afternoon, and had already driven it home, I was pretty much done with it so I wanted to know which location I could drop it off at. She went back-and-forth with me probably a half a dozen times before I finally told her to stop and told her, I am finished with the truck. I already have the truck. Then she proceeded to give me another dispatch number and wanted to know the truck number that I had. And she went through the whole thing about whether I wanted insurance and who was driving it and everything else. I said I don’t care about any of that. I already have the truck I’m finished with it. I want to know where I can drop it off. Nobody, along the line, ever asked for my credit card, so I could’ve walked away with your truck. A very disorganized and unprofessional procedure. Truck worked fine, fuel economy was fine, and I will rent a game, but you need to do some tweaking with the people.
