The issue was the returning after hours app would not work onsite. Customers should be walked or at minimum explained the process to use the app. Give a heads up of all the pictures the app will ask for and NOT to drop the keys in the box before taking a multitude of pictures to drop off the truck. Plus, the business has cameras everywhere why have customers go 30 extra steps on a dumb app when you’ve already overcharged them for a recovery license fee, your the owner and 1.89 for mileage. You are FALSE advertising when you say the rental is $19.00 to rent. I don’t want to rent from the U-Haul thieves.
NORA FThe location called me multiple times over several days leading up to the return date, even after confirming with me over the phone. They rushed me out of the truck when I arrived bc they had booked someone else for it who was waiting. I was early to boot. I tried to stay to check in the truck with her and told her about the truck leaking water in the attic space and that several of my belongings were damaged by water that leaked in, and maybe they should put the waiting customer in a different truck. But she wasn’t interested and said she had to get the truck turned around for the next customer waiting. In being rushed, I forgot my house opener in the cab of the truck, and when I discovered I couldn’t get into my home I tried calling them 3 times at 2 different numbers before reaching someone. When I arrived back at their location one staff shouted at me as I was trying to wave her down to speak to her, the other said nothing, walked away from me and I was left panicking and confused. She came back out and I asked if she’d been able to locate my lost belonging and she handed it to me and when I thanked her with huge relief she simply said have a nice day. I would never come back to this location again.
WENDY FThere was a long wait at pickup due to slow computers because of the month end rush. In spite of that the staff was very calm and friendly. I ordered a hand truck and they were out of stock when I picked up the truck. I thought that was odd since I reserved one. They made it right by giving me a substitution. The drop off process was super easy and convenient.
LEANNE BIt took 45 mins to get the UHAUL due to the uhaul system. Additionally, I was informed the back of the truck was a little slick, like the people before tried to clean it out but didn't get all the soap out. That was not the case it was slick and stunk of 2 stroke oil-fuel mix. I called the vendor and they had no replacement trucks. I had to go get degreaser and shop rags to clean it out myself.
