After we returned the truck and we put the key in the box we went inside the store, which is a U-Haul rental and a convenience center I went inside to get a soda and right before the guy at the counter was going to ring up the soda. My son was standing right next to me and the guy introduced himself as the owner and asked me about my Toyota Tacoma that was parked in front of the store but about four spaces to the right and he said he had to investigate who owned the truck so he looked at the cameras and saw it was us like 4 AM and he said he had a delivery truck come through and they had a hard time bringing their truck through, which makes no sense because it is a huge lot and I still haven’t replied yet to him and he said next time I rent a truck from them to park my truck somewhere else in the parking lot and he told us where and pointed at it and I told him I’m parked in the handicap because I am handicap. And he was quiet for a couple seconds in front of me and my son. He said again next time you rent from us park over here don’t park there and then my son said my dad has a handicap license plate. He’s parked in the handicap and he said you guys have to park over here and I told him I have rheumatoid arthritis And I’m about to get my knees both of them replaced. It is hard for me to walk far, I am not old. I am only 53 but I am human and humans have issues and I have every right to park there. It’s the only handicap he has in the parking lot Which is during the day. He has a lunch truck serving food there also which is fine but to tell someone that’s handicap that he or somebody cannot park there it’s actually illegal he said he was close to doing something about it, but if he would have my family said I could have sued him which sounds stupid. I am not that type of person, but if I would have gotten there and not had my vehicle for parking in a handicap spot with a handicap plate, I just think it was very upsetting. He did not even care that someone is handicap he didn’t seem to anyway and after he was done talking and I bought the soda he said thank you for visiting my store and renting from U-Haul it is not U-Haul‘s fault I get it, but it is not OK for him to treat anyone that way and no way would I ever rent from that location again? I don’t rent trucks too much but I do when it is needed and have many times. I’m sure you guys hear nothing but complaining all the time. I am sorry you guys have to sit there and read this stuff all the time but anyway I did not have a good experience but it was just because of the owner of the convenience center and that particular U-Haul I do hope you guys have a serious talk with this person because it is not OK to treat his or your customers that way, and if some reason you want to talk to me about this ordeal, my number is 919-539-6846. SAYED SThe Mini Mart personel was helpful, kind and respectful, but had absolutely no info regarding UHaul. The process was a little confusing to get the code to open the box where the keys were, but I figured it out in the end.. Also, I was told the truck would be in front, which it was not. I really had to hunt for the truck. Otherwise, the truck was clean and I had no issues. I think it would be helpful to customers if the trucks were always left with a full tank of gas. I ended up leaving more in the tank than was there to start with.
