Picked up first car transport and went on my way. Got to the vehicle requiring towing and drove it onto transport. When attempting to fasten it down found about a foot of each front retaining strap had been cut off and was still wound on rachet mechanism. This left the straps too short to go around the tires and totally useless. Returned this transport, now some 3 hours later, to get a second one they had onsite. After the first experience I did a thorough inspection of the second before leaving the lot. Found the safety latch for one rear ramp broken, with a small gauge chain securing it in the ramp pocket. I unfastened the chain, pulled out the ramp, amd it came completely out of the pocket and fell on the ground. This is a heavy piece of hardware and could easily break someones foot if they weren't aware the ramp would come out and fell on it. Also, if someone slid the ramp back in and forgot to secure the chain, it could have come out along the route, fallen on the road, and been a significant road hazard. Both of these transports were not road worthy and should have been taken out of service and repaired prior to any rental. I've used Uhaul equipment in the past with good results. This experience has soured my opinion, and likely will negate any further business with your company.

Only problems experienced were with your online interface. Showed equipment at location where it wasn't available. Had to call customer service to make reservation. Then, picking equipment up, online check-in wouldn't work, caught in continuous loop uploading.
RONALD CDidn’t have my furniture pads, app was t working to upload photos to continue check in process, had to call agent and take pics to keep on my phone
Scott pOverall the experience was a good one . The truck was almost new and performed well.
TIMOTHY GThe specific dolly I used will need a new pigtail for the electric relatively soon but it is in functional order, it just looks like it got dragged at some point. Everything works I just think it's going to get some water in there and get corroded where the wire casing is scuffed up. This is in no way a complaint or a negative thing just something I thought I could bring to your attention, everything worked well and it towed perfectly. I'm a big fan of these newer Dollys you have, the plastic fenders are a nice and rugged addition and it results in a cleaner look with less smashed fenders. The mid point dolly articulation is nice too and helps with the turns but can be a little extra frustrating when trying to back up but it's likely something I can conquer over time. Huge fan of uhaul btw, I hope to one day own one of your retired roof top carrier boxes and perhaps one of your fiberglass rental campers.
