This was not the drop off location. The drop off location was in Rio Dell (Humboldt Copunty). There was no one present when I dropped off the trailer, I had to back in the trailer, remove and park the trailer myself. I was previously directed to the Rio Dell location in order to drop an auto transport despite there being several other U-Haul facilities closer. Very inconvenient and time consuming. As mentioned in a previous review, it appears the U-Haul has no regard for their customers convenience. This is because I’ve had to travel long distances to either pickup or drop off equipment when there were closer and more convenient U-Haul businesses. In the past I was able to pick up and deliver drop offs at the Airport U-Haul in Fortuna which is much closer to my home. But recently I had to travel over 60 miles round trip to pick up a trailer, a trip that took an hour and a half. The closest U-Haul is just 6.9 miles away!!

elizabeth hThe yard guy that unhooked the trailer I’d give 6/5 stars. He was super friendly, thanked me for banking the trailer in without him asking instead of just dropping it wherever. Asked him about a local lunch spot. Super helpful! I called the front and was on hold the entire 34 minute drive it took me to get there after unloading the vehicle I was towing. Literally walked in the door still on hold…. For a simple drop off but I was instructed to call before showing up so I did.
Brady KI was disappointed with the trailer not much the location. The hydraulic portion of the trailer did not work so every time I applied the brakes or accelerated the whole trailer would slam. Drove 7 hours doing this. Also in traffic. I had to purchase another BW trailer hitch because I believe the slamming around may have weakened the hitch it self. I don't want to take chances. I purchased the insurance. I was disappointed with the maintenance of the equipment. I wonder what else is overlooked. Santa rosa location (not smith rent a car) manager is rude and just doesn't care. Rude to employees and customers. Very disappointed, TRied calling about this and was put on hold.
