I was charged for insurance coverage when I denied it online. I've emailed to rectify the error have not received a response. The vehicle had garbage in the cab and cigarette ash in the ash tray. The steering wheel had a lot of play the vehicle might need to be alignedMiguel U.

The whole experience of trying to find a 10 ft. truck in an area fairly close to me was terrible. The first place said he didn't know whether he'd have a truck on Sat. ( 3 days away) and gave me the "Traffic number" to call. Traffic gave me a location that was a 40 minute drive away. Checking elsewhere I spotted a 10 ft. truck on the premises of a very close location but the guy in the office had to check with "Traffic" to see if it was available. ( It wasn't. ) I called Trafffic back again the next day and they gave me a much closer place then the first time I called. We set up the reservation BUT, the truck wasn't at the location where it was supposed to be and there was no one in the office at 10:00 on Saturday!!! We could hear the phone ringing and ringing inside. Luckily, some workers at a body shop next store had the missing Uhaul guy's cell phone number. When we reached him he sent us to yet another location, fortunately only 10 minutes away, but by this time we had already lost almost an hour of our planned moving time. The whole experience was terrible. Never again!Mark G.

Drop off was even easier then pick-up, less then 5 minutes. He made his inspection, scanned the bar-code and off I went. Both ends were a breeze and I let them know. Even told all my friends how easy it was and that it was worth every penny based on that alone to me. GREAT JOB!!!!!!michael F.

Make sure the rental is ready to go at the time reserved. I received the rental almost 50 minutes passed the reservation time which put me over an hour behind schedule. I would rather walk and wheel my gear from now on versus renting from u-haulAnthony R.

Truck did not have half a tank. Had to wait 20 mins for my truck. Passenger side was a mess, cigarette ashes on seat. Needed to be cleaned. Cargo area looked like someone lived in it and I also had to cleaned. So my first hour I had to clean front and back and gas up truck. NOT HAPPY AND WANT MONEY BACK. Not worth the $140 I spent. I've used Uhaul before and never had an issue. Please get back to me.Patrick D.
When I arrived to pick up the truck the keys were not waiting for me but I began the check in on uhaul.com. When I got to the part to verify the mileage and gas, the numbers were wrong. The truck said it had over 26000 and 3/4 of a tank of gas but the check in on uhaul.com said it had over 86000 miles and 1/4 gallons of gas. When I spoke to the JC at Shirley, NY he said that UHaul would take care of it. I also had ordered a dozen blankets and there were none on the truck or at that location. I wound up picking up a dozen blankets at Coram, NY uhaul location. When I tried to return the truck Saturday night, i couldn't because Uhaul.com site kept saying I was trying to return truck with less miles then I rented it with, so JC never had uhaul fix the error. Not only did it take an extra 45 minutes to rent the truck but it took an extra day for me to return. I am disabled so this was very difficult for me.Jennifer R.

Roe Motors in Shirley, New York keeps trying to put debit charges through on my card when I am now living in Chicora, Pennsylvania. How can they put debit purchases through without me there to give them my card? The first one appeared on January 2nd, 2019 for $115.81 and was pending and dropped off and now it appeared again today on January 4th, 2019. This place was terrible. I then drove to Roe Motors in Shirley, New York to pick up the car transport. The address you gave me took me to a Buy Gold place that was closed. Good thing I walked down the block a couple of businesses and found a car lot that was the actual UHaul dealer. I spoke with someone named John (he told us to call him JC) and he proceeded to tell me how he had no clue what to do with UHaul order and hooking up the car transport to our moving truck. He told me to come back before 1pm the next day because the guy who does known how to do it will be in. So I now lost a day doing what I had to do so I could be on the road to drive 8 hours to our new place in Pennsylvania. So I drove 15 miles from Roe Motors to my apartment in Selden, NY just so I could have to drive all of the way back to Roe Motors the next day so I can get the car transport I paid for. During this whole time, I must have called your customer service number several times to try to figure what the hell was wrong with these people and make sure everything was in order to avoid any future issues. I went back the following day on December 31st, 2018 around 11am just to see John aka JC again who proceeded to tell me the guy he told that was gonna be there to hook up the car transport was actually not there. He then proceeded to "try" and hook up the car transport, but then went to the Buy Gold shop and got some other guy to come out who claimed "works with these things all of the time" and that man, who as far as I know is not connected with UHaul whatsoever to hook up the car transport. I honestly found the whole situation quite annoying and honestly felt a tad bit unsafe having some random guy hook up the trailer that would be holding my car on for 8 hours as I drive to Chicora, Pennsylvania. So instead of heading home because I felt something was wrong, I went to your main UHaul center in Coram, New York so the reps there could check out the car transport. Thank god I did that because Nicole at your Coram location pointed out how they did it wrong and it could have lead to trouble when on the road. Nicole was amazing. Finally someone who could actually print me out my contract and emergency numbers and information I would need for my trip and dropping off. I told Nicole my whole story with you guys up to that point and she was horrified and told me you that you could should comp me a day for all of the hassle you put my through and making me have to lose a day to drive back to Roe Motors because they don't have anyone there who know what they're doing when they come to UHaul rentals. John never even asked for my oErin B.
