I have intentionally waited a few days before responding to this request. I didn't want to respond in anger. The truck was great. It was clean and performed very well. It did have a broken driver's seat armrest, which would have been a big nuisance on a long trip. I mentioned this when I returned the truck and hope it was repaired for the next renter. My only issue was at the time of pickup. We rented this truck to help our son, who is a priest, move from one parish to another. I had to take the truck home to our house and pick up a few things before going to the rectory he was moving out of. Just as we were leaving our house to go to his, I got a call from the rental site telling me they had mistakenly put a hand truck and a furniture dolly in the truck that I had not ordered nor paid for. I noticed this when I inspected the truck before leaving the site, but they were closed and there was no where or no one I could leave it with. I own both of these pieces of equipment and had no need for them, but was afraid to leave them unattended and feared they would be stolen. I was asked to bring these back to the rental location as someone who had requested them would need them. This put me out of my way and delayed me by 20 minutes in getting to our son's location. I guess this inconvenience wasn't that great, although we were late for our son's last mass at his old parish. What angered me more at the moment was when the lady on the phone told me that this error was due "to me changing my rental pick up time." I told her on the phone that I never changed anything! I actually wanted to pick up the truck in Minooka, much closer and more convenient to our home. She seemed to be trying to justify their error by making me feel like it was my change after the order that caused this equipment to be loaded into the wrong truck. When a mistake is made, own up to it--don't try to shift blame to someone else. We ALL make mistakes! It just really bothered me that I was tried to take the blame for something I had nothing to do with. For this reason alone, I will likely not rent from this location again nor would I refer anyone to this site. Nothing personal, just didn't appreciate the way I was treated.
Thomas BWhen completing the photograph section of the U-Haul, photographs would not upload and it would not let me continue through the process because the photographs were not uploaded. Had to exit out of the photo section every time in order for the photographs to save.

John AI had the worst experience ever. Not with the actual UHaul truck it’s self but the location that I picked up from. 1st: We got there earlier because we had a appointment that we needed to be on time for, when we unlocked to box to get the truck key, it was 2 keys in there neither was the truck I was renting. I went to see if the keys worked but they didn’t I had to put the keys back and call customer service to figure it out. They ended up having me to get another truck. 2nd: When we finally got the key for the 2nd truck, we disinfected sprayed and wiped it down, and as we was doing the inspection of the truck we noticed that this truck didn’t have a dolly ramp attached and we specifically asked and needed one for our destination. We had to get on the phone with customer service again, at this point we have been here for nearly a hour. And I was running extremely behind for my appointment. They found a new truck with all the amenities that we requested prior. 3rd: When we was wiping down the 3rd trunk the lady at Reliable Storage who initially booked with called me and said “I SEE THAT YOU SWITCHED OUT YOUR TRUCK, WHAT TIME WILL YOU BE BACK BECAUSE THAT ONE IS ALREADY RESERVED?” I felt totally inconvenienced and extremely rushed and I honestly felt like she was prioritizing another customer over me, I had a truck reserved too but If things was in order and in the right place we wouldn’t have had to go through 2 other trunks and waste over a hour and had to rush back to appease them. A total waste of money and time. The actual truck was good and on the phone customer service was extremely helpful and as prompted as they could be but Reliable Storage dropped the ball completely, you are only as strong as you weakest link and Reliable Storage needs to tighten all the way up!
