I dropped off the trailer on Saturday — the same day as pickup — and called the number provided, per the contract. On Monday, U-Haul called asking why I hadn't returned the trailer. I explained that I had, and that I have pictures to prove it. The site then processed the return and charged me a $20 "off-hours service fee. I am sorry, what service, exactly, was provided? U-Haul is a side business there, they are some sort of construction company and the lot was full of rusty equipment.
